ಟಾಸ್ ಗೆದ್ದ ವಿಂಡೀಸ್ ತಂಡ ಬೌಲಿಂಗ್ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿತು. ಬಳಿಕ ಬ್ಯಾಟಿಂಗ್ಗೆ ಇಳಿದ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾ ಮೊದಲ ವಿಕೆಟ್ಗೆ ರೀಜಾ ಹೆಂಡ್ರಿಕ್ಸ್ (17) ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ವಿಂಟನ್ ಡಿ ಕಾಕ್ (72) 42 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿದರು. ಮಿಂಚಿನ ಆಟವಾಡಿದ ಡಿ ಕಾಕ್ ಅರ್ಧಶತಕ ಸಿಡಿಸಿದರು. 51 ಎಸೆತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 5 ಬೌಂಡರಿ ಎರಡು ಭರ್ಜರಿ ಸಿಕ್ಸರ್ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ 72 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿದರು. ವ್ಯಾನ್ ಡೆರ್ ಡುಸೆನ್ 24 ಎಸೆತಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 36 ರನ್ ಗಳಿಸಿ ತಂಡದ ಮೊತ್ತವನ್ನು 150ರ ಗಡಿ ದಾಟಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರವಾದರು. ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಸೌತ್ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾ ತಂಡ ನಿಗದಿತ 20 ಓವರ್ಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 8 ವಿಕೆಟ್ ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡು 167 ರನ್ಗಳಿಸಿತು.
