2015ರ ಇಂಡಿಯಾ ಓಪನ್ನ ಚಾಂಪಿಯನ್‌ ಆದ ಕಿಡಂಬಿ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ ಫೈನಲ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಡೆನ್ಮಾರ್ಕ್‌ನ ವಿಕ್ಟರ್‌ ಅಕ್ಸೆಲ್ಸೆನ್‌ ವಿರುದ್ಧ 7-21, 20-22ರಿಂದ ಸೋಲುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿರಾಸೆಯನುಭವಿಸಿದರು.

46 ನಿಮಿಷಗಳ ಕಾಳ ನಡೆದ ಫೈನಲ್ ಆಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಶ್ರೀಕಾಂತ್ ಮೊದಲ ಗೇಮ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಾಕಷ್ಟು ತಪ್ಪುಗಳಿಂದ 7-21ರ ಅಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಿನ್ನಡೆಗೊಳಗಾದರು. ಆದರೆ ಎರಡನೇ ಸೆಟ್ನಲ್ಲಿ ತೀವ್ರ ಪೈಪೋಟಿ ನೀಡಿದರಾದರು 20-22 ರಿಂದ ರೋಚಕ ಪೈಪೋಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಸೋಲನುಭವಿಸಿದರು
