ನವದೆಹಲಿ: ಮುಂಡ್ಕಾ ಮೆಟ್ರೋ ನಿಲ್ದಾಣದ ಬಳಿಯ ಬೃಹತ್ ಕಟ್ಟಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಕಾಣಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಪರಿಣಾಮ 26 ಮಂದಿ ದುರ್ಮರಣಕ್ಕೀಡಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇಬ್ಬರು ಗಾಯಗೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಭರದ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಚರಣೆ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಾವು-ನೋವು ಸಂಭವಿಸುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ದಟ್ಟವಾಗಿದೆ.

ಇಂದು ಸಂಜೆ ದೆಹಲಿಯ ಮುಂಡ್ಕಾ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಮೂರು ಅಂತಸ್ತಿನ ಕಟ್ಟಡವೊಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ದಿಢೀರ್ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಹೊತ್ತಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದು, ಈ ವೇಳೆ 16 ಜನರು ಸಾವನ್ನಪ್ಪಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳದ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ಕಾರ್ಯನಿರ್ವಹಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದು, ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ದೌಡಾಯಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ದೆಹಲಿ ಪೊಲೀಸರು ನೀಡಿರುವ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ಪ್ರಕಾರ, ಕಟ್ಟಡದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ತಗುಲಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಸಂಜೆ 4.45ಕ್ಕೆ ಕರೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದು, ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ದೌಡಾಯಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಎರಡು ಮಹಡಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬೆಂಕಿ ಆವರಿಸಿದ್ದು, ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆದಿದೆ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಕಟ್ಟಡದೊಳಗೆ ಸುಗಂಧ ದ್ರವ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ಬೆಣ್ಣೆಯಂತಹ ಮಸಾಲೆ ಪದಾರ್ಥ ಇರುವುದರಿಂದ ಬೆಂಕಿಯ ಜ್ವಾಲೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದು ಬಂದಿದೆ. ಪ್ರಾಣ ಉಳಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಕೆಲವರು ಕಟ್ಟಡದಿಂದ ಕೆಳಗೆ ಜಿಗಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ವಿವಿಧ ಅಂಗಡಿಗಳಿದ್ದವು ಎನ್ನಲಾಗಿದೆ.
ಘಟನಾ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಸುಮಾರು 15 ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ವಾಹನ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಕಾರ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿವೆ. ಇದೊಂದು ವಾಣಿಜ್ಯ ಕಟ್ಟಡವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಡಿಸಿಪಿ ಸಮೀರ್ ಶರ್ಮಾ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಕಟ್ಟಡದೊಳಗೆ ಅನೇಕರು ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಹಾಕಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ. ಈಗಾಗಲೇ 26 ಮೃತದೇಹ ಹೊರತೆಗೆಯಲಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ದೆಹಲಿ ಅಗ್ನಿಶಾಮಕ ದಳದ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಅತುಲ್ ಗಾರ್ಗ್ ತಿಳಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
