ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಸೇನೆಗೆ 91ನೇ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆ: 2ನೇ ಮಹಾ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ವಿಶ್ವದ 4ನೇ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಪಡೆ

ಇಂದು ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯ 91ನೇ ಸಂಸ್ಥಾಪನಾ ದಿನ. ಎರಡನೇ ಮಹಾಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದ ಸೇನೆಯು ವಿಶ್ವದ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.

ಹೈದರಾಬಾದ್: ಭಾರತದ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯು ವಿಶ್ವದ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ದೊಡ್ಡ ಸೇನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಎರಡನೇ ಮಹಾಯುದ್ಧ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವು ಮಹತ್ವದ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ವಾಯುಸೇನೆಯನ್ನು 1932 ರ ಅಕ್ಟೋಬರ್​ 8 ರಂದು ಸ್ಥಾಪನೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಇಂದು 91 ನೇ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಹಲವೆಡೆ ಪಥಸಂಚಲನ, ಯುದ್ಧ ವಿಮಾನಗಳನ್ನು ಹಾರಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿ ಸಾಹಸ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ನಡೆಸಿದರು.

ವಾಯುಸೇನೆಯ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆ: ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆ ರಚನೆಯಾಗಿ ಇಂದಿಗೆ 91 ವರ್ಷ ಕಳೆದಿದೆ. ದೇಶವನ್ನಾಳಿದ ಬ್ರಿಟಿಷ್ ಸರ್ಕಾರವು 1932 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿತು. ಇದನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಯುನೈಟೆಡ್ ಕಿಂಗ್‌ಡಮ್​ನ ರಾಯಲ್ ಏರ್​ಫೋರ್ಸ್‌ಗೆ ಸಹಾಯಕ ಪಡೆಯಾಗಿ ರೂಪಿಸಲಾಯಿತು. ಎರಡನೇ ವಿಶ್ವ ಸಮರದಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯ ಫ್ಲೈಟ್ ಮತ್ತು ಸ್ಕ್ವಾಡ್ರನ್ ಪಡೆಗಳು ಹೋರಾಡಿದ್ದವು. ಇದರ ನಂತರ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಏರ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ರಾಯಲ್ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್ ಏರ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಎಂದು ಮರುನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು.

ವಾಯುಪಡೆಗೆ ಮೊಟ್ಟ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ 1933 ರಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಮಾನವೊಂದನ್ನು ನೀಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಇದು ಭಾರತದ ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ಮತ್ತು ವಿಭಜನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಹಳ ಮುಖ್ಯವಾದ ಪಾತ್ರವನ್ನು ವಹಿಸಿತು. 1950 ರಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತವನ್ನು ಗಣರಾಜ್ಯವೆಂದು ಘೋಷಿಸಿದಾಗ, ರಾಯಲ್ ಇಂಡಿಯನ್​ ಏರ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಸಶಸ್ತ್ರ ಪಡೆಗಳಿಂದ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಿ, ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆ ಎಂದು ಮರುನಾಮಕರಣ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. ಏರ್​ ಮಾರ್ಷಲ್​ ಸುಬ್ರೊತೋ ಮುಖರ್ಜಿ ಅವರು ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯನ್ನು ರೂಪಿಸಿದರು. ಸ್ವಾತಂತ್ರ್ಯ ನಂತರದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯ ಮೊದಲ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥರಾಗಿ ಅವರು ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಿದರು.

ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ: ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯು ಅಮೆರಿಕ, ಚೀನಾ ಮತ್ತು ರಷ್ಯಾ ನಂತರ ವಿಶ್ವದ ನಾಲ್ಕನೇ ಅತಿದೊಡ್ಡ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯಾಗಿದೆ. ಸೇನೆಯು ವಿಶ್ವಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಶಾಂತಿಪಾಲನಾ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳಲ್ಲೂ ಭಾಗಿಯಾಗಿದೆ. ನೈಸರ್ಗಿಕ ವಿಕೋಪಗಳ ಸಂದರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯು ನಡೆಸುವ ಪರಿಹಾರ ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಗಳು ಬಹಳ ಸಹಾಯಕವಾಗಿವೆ. ಏರ್ ಫೋರ್ಸ್ ಅನ್ನು ಐದು ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆಯ ಮತ್ತು ಎರಡು ಕ್ರಿಯಾತ್ಮಕ ಕಾರ್ಯಗಳ ಪಡೆಗಳನ್ನಾಗಿ ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಆಜ್ಞಾ ಪಾಲಕ ಪಡೆಗಳನ್ನು ಏರ್ ಮಾರ್ಷಲ್ ಶ್ರೇಣಿಯ ಕಮಾಂಡಿಂಗ್ ಇನ್ ಚೀಫ್ ಮೇಲ್ವಿಚಾರಣೆ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಯ 91 ನೇ ವರ್ಷಾಚರಣೆಯನ್ನು ಈ ಬಾರಿ 'ಏರ್‌ಪವರ್ ಬಿಯಾಂಡ್ ಬೌಂಡರೀಸ್' ಎಂಬ ಥೀಮ್​ನಡಿ ಆಚರಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ.
