Duleep Trophy 2023 Winner : साउथ जोन ने जीता दिलीप ट्रॉफी का खिताब, फाइनल में वेस्ट जोन को 75 रन से दी मात

हनुमा विहारी की कप्तानी वाली साउथ जोन ने दिलीप ट्रॉफी 2023 के फाइनल में वेस्ट जोन को 75 रनों से हराकर 14वीं बार खिताब पर कब्जा जमाया. साउथ जोन की इस खिताबी जीत के हीरो तेज गेंदबाज विदवथ कवरप्पा रहे, जिन्होंने मैच में 8 विकेट हासिल किए.

बेंगलुरु : दक्षिण क्षेत्र ने अपना दबदबा कायम रखते हुए रविवार को यहां पश्चिम क्षेत्र को 75 रन से करारी शिकस्त देकर दलीप ट्रॉफी क्रिकेट टूर्नामेंट का खिताब जीता.

पश्चिम क्षेत्र ने 298 रन के लक्ष्य का पीछा करते हुए पांचवें दिन सुबह अपनी दूसरी पारी पांच विकेट पर 182 रन से आगे बढ़ाई और उसकी टीम 222 रन बनाकर आउट हो गई. दक्षिण क्षेत्र की तरफ से बाएं हाथ के स्पिनर साईं किशोर और तेज गेंदबाज वासुकी कौशिक ने 4-4 विकेट हासिल किए.

दक्षिण क्षेत्र ने 14वीं बार दलीप ट्रॉफी का खिताब जीता है. इससे उसने पश्चिम क्षेत्र से पिछले साल मिली हार का बदला भी चुकता कर दिया. पिछले साल फाइनल में पश्चिम क्षेत्र ने दक्षिण क्षेत्र को 294 रन से हराया था.

प्रियांक पंचाल ने सुबह अपनी पारी 92 रन से आगे बढ़ाई लेकिन वह इसमें केवल तीन रन जोड़कर पवेलियन लौट गए. उन्होंने तेज गेंदबाज विदवथ कावेरप्पा की गेंद पर विकेटकीपर रिकी भुई को कैच थमाया. इससे पश्चिम क्षेत्र की रही सही उम्मीद ही समाप्त हो गई. कावेरप्पा को मैच का सर्वश्रेष्ठ खिलाड़ी चुना गया.

अतीत सेठ (9) और धर्मेंद्रसिंह जडेजा (15) ने आठवें विकेट के लिए 23 रन जोड़े लेकिन इस से वह हार का अंतर ही कम कर पाए. धर्मेंद्र जडेजा ने साईं किशोर की गेंद पर लंबा शॉट खेलने के प्रयास में वाशिंगटन सुंदर को कैच थमाया. इसके बाद उन्होंने सेठ को भी आउट किया.
