ટોક્યો: ગુજરાતના વડનગરથી આવતા ભાવિનાએ પોતાની મજબૂત રમતથી વિશ્વના નંબર 2, વર્લ્ડ નંબર 3 જેવા તમામ વિરોધીઓને હરાવ્યા છે. મહિલા સિંગલ્સમાં સિલ્વર જીત્યો છે, ભાવિનાના પતિ નિકુલ પટેલે કહ્યું- ઈચ્છા શક્તિ તેની સૌથી મોટી તાકાત છે, જેના કારણે તે પોતાના વિરોધીઓને હરાવી રહી છે.પેરાલિમ્પિક્સમાં જીત બાદ રાષ્ટ્રપતિ રામનાથ કોવિંદે અને વડાપ્રધાન મોદીએ સિલ્વર જીતવા બદલ ભાવિના પટેલને શુભેચ્છા પાઠવી હતી.

રવિવારે 34 વર્ષની ભાવિનાને ફાઇનલમાં વિશ્વની નંબર 1 ચીનની ઝોઉ યિંગ સામે 11-7, 11-5, 11-6થી હરાવી હતી. ભાવિનાએ શનિવારે સેમિફાઇનલમાં ચીનના હી ઝાંગ મિયાઓને 7-11, 11-7, 11-4, 9-11, 11-8થી હરાવીને ફાઇનલમાં પ્રવેશ કર્યો હતો.

પેરાલિમ્પિક ગેમ્સમાં ભારતનો સિલ્વર મેડલ
પેરાલિમ્પિક ગેમ્સમાં ભારતનો આ પહેલો મેડલ છે. ભાવિનાએ પ્રથમ ગેમમાં ઝોઉ યિંગને સરી એવી ટક્કર આપી હતી. ચીનની ભૂત પૂર્વસુવર્ણ ચંદ્રક વિજેતાએ ભારતીયને એક પણ તક આપી ન હતી. અને સીધી ગેમમાં સરળ જીત નોંધાવી હતી.
