મુંબઈઃ કરણ જેહરને તાજેતરમાં ગુવાહાટીમાં યોજાનાર ફિલ્મફેર અવોર્ડમાં ઈન્ડસ્ટ્રીના મોસ્ટ આઉટસ્ટેન્ડિંગ આઈકોનનો ખિતાબ આપવામાં આવ્યો હતો. આસામના ગુવાહાટીમાં ફિલ્મફેર અવોર્ડ 2020નું આયોજન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. જે સફળ આયોજન કરવા બદલ કરણ જોહરે આસામના મુખ્યપ્રધાન અને પોલીસનો આભાર વ્યક્ત કર્યો હતો.

કરણ જોહરે પોતાના ટ્વિટર હેન્ડલ પર આસામના મુખ્યપ્રધાન અને પોલીસનો આભાર વ્યક્ત કર્યો કે, આસામ પોલીસે ફિલ્મફેર અવોર્ડ ફંકશનને સફળ બનાવવામાં બહુ જ મદદ કરી છે. કરણે ટ્વીટ કર્યું હતું કે, "આસામ પોલીસ.. ધન્યવાદ, ફિલ્મફેર અવોર્ડ ફંકશનને સફળ બનાવવા તમારી કડક વ્યવસ્થા અને ચુસ્ત બંદોબસ્ત બદલ. તેમજ આદરણીય મુખ્યપ્રધાનજી આસામમાં અમારી મહેમાન નવાજી બદલ આપનો આભાર."

આ વર્ષે ફિલ્મફેર અવોર્ડ મુંબઈને બદલે આસામના ગુવાહાટીમાં યોજાયો હતો. કરણ જોહરના વર્કફ્રન્ટની વાત કરીએ તો તેમની આગામી ફિલ્મ 'ગુંજન સક્સેનાઃ ધ કારગિલ ગર્લ' છે. જેનું પોસ્ટર રિલીઝ થઈ ગયું છે. આ ફિલ્મમાં જાન્હવી કપૂર લીડ રોલમાં જોવા મળશે.
