ન્યૂઝ ડેસ્ક: ટાટા ટ્રસ્ટના ચેરમેન રતન ટાટાએ COVID-19 અંગે ચિંતા વ્યક્ત કરી છે અને કહ્યું છે કે, આ અંગે તાત્કાલિક પગલાં લેવાની જરૂર છે. રતન ટાટાએ ટ્વિટ કર્યું હતું કે, "આ સમયમાં કોવિડ-19એ સૌથી મુશ્કેલ પડકાર છે. ટાટા જૂથની કંપનીઓ હંમેશા આવા સમયે દેશની જરૂરિયાતો સાથે ઉભી રહી છે. આ સમયે દેશને આપણી વધુ જરૂર છે."

તેમણે વધુમાં ટાટા ટ્રસ્ટ તબીબી કર્મચારીઓ માટે વ્યક્તિગત રક્ષણાત્મક ઉપકરણો, વધતા જતા કેસોની સારવાર માટે કિટ્સ, મોડ્યુલર સારવાર સુવિધાઓ સ્થાપવા અને આરોગ્ય કર્મચારીઓ અને સામાન્ય લોકો માટે 500 કરોડ રૂપિયાની ફંડની જાહેરાત કરી હતી. ત્યારબાદ ટાટા સન્સના ચેરમેન એન ચંદ્રશેખરાને COVID-19 અને સંબંધિત પ્રવૃત્તિઓ માટે રૂપિયા 1000 કરોડના વધારાના ફંડની સહાયની જાહેરાત કરી હતી.
COVID-19 સંબંધિત પ્રવૃત્તિઓ માટે અને તેની સામે લડવા માટે દેશમાં કોઈપણ કંપની દ્વારા અત્યાર સુધીમાં આટલી મોટી રકમની સહાય આપવામાં નથી આવી.
