નવી દિલ્હી: લંડનના ધ ઓવલ મેદાનમાં રવિવારે રમાયેલી વર્લ્ડ ટેસ્ટ ચેમ્પિયનશિપ 2023 ફાઈનલના 5માં દિવસે ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયાની ટીમે ભારતીય ટીમને 209 રનથી હરાવ્યું હતું. આ મેચ જીત્યા બાદ ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયાની ટીમ ICCની તમામ ટ્રોફી જીતનારી પ્રથમ ટીમ બની ગઈ છે. ભારતનો બીજો દાવ માત્ર 234 રનમાં સમેટાઈ ગયો હતો. આ મેચ હાર્યા બાદ કેપ્ટન રોહિત શર્માએ નિરાશા વ્યક્ત કરી છે. તેણે આ હાર માટે બેટ્સમેનોને જવાબદાર ગણાવ્યા છે. WTC ફાઇનલમાં ટીમ ઇન્ડિયાની આ સતત બીજી હાર છે. આ પહેલા ભારત ન્યુઝીલેન્ડ સામે હારી ગયું હતું.

ભારત 234 રનમાં સમેટાઈ ગયું: ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયાએ પ્રથમ દાવમાં 469 રન બનાવ્યા હતા. જ્યારે ભારતીય ટીમ માત્ર 296 રન સુધી જ પહોંચી શકી હતી. ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયાએ તેનો બીજો દાવ 8 વિકેટે 270 રન પર ડિકલેર કર્યો હતો અને ભારત સામે 444 રનનો મુશ્કેલ લક્ષ્યાંક રાખ્યો હતો. ભારતનો બીજો દાવ 234 રનમાં સમેટાઈ ગયો અને ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયા પ્રથમ વખત વર્લ્ડ ટેસ્ટ ચેમ્પિયનશિપનું વિજેતા બન્યું. પાંચ દિવસ સુધી ચાલેલી ટેસ્ટ ક્રિકેટની આ શાનદાર મેચમાં આખરે ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયાનો વિજય થયો હતો. ક્રિકેટના દરેક ફોર્મેટમાં વર્લ્ડ કપ જીતનારી તે પ્રથમ ટીમ છે.

ભારતીય ટીમનો વળતો હુમલો કરવાનો પ્રયાસ: ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયાના બેટ્સમેનોએ પહેલા દિવસે જે રીતે બેટિંગ કરી હતી, તેના પરથી નક્કી થઈ ગયું હતું કે તેમની ટીમ આ મેચમાં ફ્રન્ટ ફૂટ પર છે. જે બાદ બોલરોએ પણ શાનદાર પ્રદર્શન કર્યું અને ભારતીય બેટ્સમેનોને વધુ તક આપી ન હતી. જોકે, બીજા અને ત્રીજા દિવસે ભારતીય ટીમે વળતો હુમલો કરવાનો પ્રયાસ કર્યો હતો. પરંતુ તે અસરકારક સાબિત થઈ શક્યો નહીં. ભારતે તેની બીજી ઇનિંગમાં શાનદાર શરૂઆત કરી હતી. ટોચના ચાર બેટ્સમેનોએ તેમની ઇનિંગ્સની શરૂઆત સકારાત્મક રીતે કરી હતી. પરંતુ રોહિત, કોહલી, પૂજારા, રહાણે બધાએ ખોટો શોટ પસંદ કર્યો, જેની કિંમત ટીમને પડી.

ટ્રેવિસ હેડને પ્લેયર ઓફ ધ મેચનો એવોર્ડ: ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયા તરફથી ઓફ સ્પિનર નાથન લિયોને 41 રનમાં ચાર અને સ્કોટ બોલેન્ડે 46 રનમાં ત્રણ વિકેટ ઝડપી હતી. ઓસ્ટ્રેલિયાના ટ્રેવિસ હેડને પ્રથમ દાવમાં શાનદાર 163 રન બનાવવા બદલ પ્લેયર ઓફ ધ મેચનો એવોર્ડ મળ્યો હતો. ભારત તરફથી આજે વિરાટ કોહલી 49, અજિંક્ય રહાણે 46, શ્રીકર ભરત 23 રન બનાવીને આઉટ થયા હતા. જ્યારે મોહમ્મદ શમી 13 રન બનાવીને અણનમ રહ્યો હતો. ભારતે ચોથા દિવસે મેચમાં ત્રણ વિકેટે 164 રન બનાવ્યા હતા.
