બર્મિંગહામઃ પીવી સિંધુએ મહિલા સિંગલ્સની મેચમાં કેનેડાની મિશેલ લીને 21-15, 21-13થી હરાવીને ગોલ્ડ મેડલ જીત્યો હતો(PV Sindhu won Gold medal ). આ મેચમાં સિંધુ શરૂઆતથી જ શાનદાર લયમાં જોવા મળી રહી હતી અને તેણે આ મેચ સરળતાથી જીતી લીધી હતી.

ગોલ્ડન સોટ - સિંધુ કોમનવેલ્થ ગેમ્સ 2022માં એકપણ મેચ હારી નથી. જોકે ટીમ ઈવેન્ટમાં ભારતને સિલ્વરથી સંતોષ માનવો પડ્યો હતો, પરંતુ સિંધુએ મહિલા બેડમિંટન સિંગલ્સમાં ગોલ્ડ મેડલ જીત્યો છે. આ સાથે ભારત મેડલ ટેલીમાં ન્યુઝીલેન્ડને પછાડી ચોથા નંબર પર પહોંચી ગયું છે.
