નવી દિલ્હીઃ વિશ્વ એથ્લેટિક્સ ચેમ્પિયનશીપમાં (World Athletics Championships) સિલ્વર મેડલ જીતનાર પ્રથમ ભારતીય બનેલા ઓલિમ્પિક ચેમ્પિયન નીરજ ચોપરાને (Olympic champion Neeraj Chopra) વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદી સહિત સમગ્ર દેશે અભિનંદન પાઠવ્યા છે. ચોપરાએ યુજેન, USAમાં ચાલી રહેલી ચેમ્પિયનશિપની ભાલા ફેંક સ્પર્ધામાં 88.13 મીટરના થ્રો સાથે સિલ્વર મેડલ જીત્યો હતો. અગાઉ, વર્લ્ડ ચેમ્પિયનશિપમાં ભારતનો એકમાત્ર મેડલ 2003માં પેરિસમાં અંજુ બોબી જ્યોર્જે લાંબી કૂદમાં બ્રોન્ઝ જીત્યો હતો.
