પટિયાલાઃ પંજાબના પટિયાલા જિલ્લા સ્થિત સનૌરમાં શાકભાજી બજારની બહાર નિહંગોએ રવિવારે પોલીસ પર હુમલો કર્યો હતો. આ ઘટના સવારે 6 કલાકે બની હતી. આ હુમલામાં કેટલાય પોલીસકર્મીઓ ઇજાગ્રસ્ત થયા હતા. નિહંગોએ બજારમાં એક અધિકારીને ઇજાગ્રસ્ત કર્યા હતા.
મળતી માહિતી અનુસાર નિહંગ સિખોએ પોલીસ પર તલવાર વડે હુમલો કર્યો હતો. તેમણે એક ASIનો હાથ કાપી નાખ્યો હતો. ASIને પીજીઆઇ ચંડીગઢ રિફર કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. જ્યાં તેમની સર્જરી કરવામાં આવી રહી છે.

આ ઉપરાંત અન્ય ઇજાગ્રસ્તોને સ્થાનિક હોસ્પિટલમાં દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે. હુમલો કર્યા બાદ નિહંગ એક ગુરૂદ્વારામાં છુપાય ગયા હતા. પોલીસે તેમને સરેન્ડર કરવા માટે કહી રહી છે.
પંજાબના DGP દિનકર ગુપ્તાએ આ વિશે ટ્વીટ કરીને માહિતી આપી હતી અને આશ્વસ્થ કર્યું હતું કે, જલ્દી જ નિહંગ સમુહને પકડી પાડવામાં આવશે અને આગળની કાર્યવાહી હાથ ધરવામાં આવશે.
