સમુદાયને આરોગ્ય પ્રણાલી સાથે જોડવામાં મહત્વની ભૂમિકા ભજવવા (PM Modi congratulate ASHA Workers) બદલ WHOએ ભારતમાં 10 લાખથી વધુ મહિલા સ્વયંસેવકોનું સન્માન કર્યું. પીએમ મોદી અને આરોગ્યપ્રધાને તમામ આશા કાર્યકરોને અભિનંદન પાઠવ્યા છે.

નવી દિલ્હી: વિશ્વ આરોગ્ય સંસ્થા (WHO) એ રવિવારે ભારતની 10 લાખ મહિલા આશા સ્વયંસેવકોનું સન્માન (PM Modi congratulate ASHA Workers) કર્યું. આ સન્માન આશા સ્વયંસેવકોને ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારોમાં આરોગ્ય સુવિધાઓ પ્રદાન કરવામાં અને દેશમાં કોરોના વાયરસ (Modi praise ASHA workers) મહામારી સામેની ઝુંબેશમાં મહત્વપૂર્ણ ભૂમિકા માટે આપવામાં આવ્યું છે. વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ ટ્વીટ કરીને આ માટે અભિનંદન પાઠવ્યા છે.

કોરોના સામેની લડાઈમાં મહત્વની ભૂમિકા: ખરેખર, માન્યતાપ્રાપ્ત સામાજિક આરોગ્ય કાર્યકર્તાઓ અથવા આશા સ્વયંસેવકો એ ભારત સરકાર સાથે જોડાયેલા આરોગ્ય કાર્યકરો છે, જેઓ ગ્રામીણ વિસ્તારોમાં કામ કરે છે. ભારતમાં કોરોના વાયરસ મહામારીના શિખર દરમિયાન, આશા કાર્યકરો ખાસ કરીને દર્દીઓને શોધવા માટે ઘરે-ઘરે તપાસ કરવા માટે ચર્ચામાં આવ્યા હતા.

ગ્લોબલ હેલ્થ લીડર્સ એવોર્ડ: WHOના ડાયરેક્ટર-જનરલ ટેડ્રોસ અધાનમ ઘેબ્રેયેસસે રવિવારે છ પુરસ્કારોની જાહેરાત કરી. આ પુરસ્કારો વૈશ્વિક સ્વાસ્થ્યને આગળ વધારવા, પ્રાદેશિક સ્વાસ્થ્ય સમસ્યાઓ પ્રત્યે નેતૃત્વ અને પ્રતિબદ્ધતા દર્શાવવા માટે આપવામાં આવે છે. ડાયરેક્ટર જનરલ ઘેબ્રેયસસે 'ગ્લોબલ હેલ્થ લીડર્સ એવોર્ડ' માટે વિજેતાઓની પસંદગી કરી. આ પુરસ્કારોની સ્થાપના 2019 માં કરવામાં આવી હતી અને એવોર્ડ સમારોહ 75મી વર્લ્ડ હેલ્થ એસેમ્બલીના ઉચ્ચ-સ્તરના ઉદ્ઘાટન સત્રનો ભાગ હતો.

10 લાખથી વધુ મહિલા આશાવર્કરોનું સન્માન: WHOએ કહ્યું કે, સન્માનિત લોકોમાં આશા (WHO on ASHA workers) છે, જેનો હિન્દીમાં અર્થ થાય છે. સમુદાયને આરોગ્ય પ્રણાલી સાથે જોડવામાં મહત્વની ભૂમિકા ભજવવા બદલ ભારતમાં 10 લાખથી વધુ મહિલા આશાવર્કરોનું સન્માન કરવામાં આવ્યું હતું. "એ સમયે જ્યારે વિશ્વ એક સાથે અસમાનતા, સંઘર્ષ, ખાદ્ય અસુરક્ષા, આબોહવાની કટોકટી અને મહામારીનો સામનો કરી રહ્યું છે, આ પુરસ્કાર એવા લોકો માટે છે જેમણે વિશ્વભરમાં આરોગ્યના રક્ષણ અને પ્રોત્સાહનમાં યોગદાન આપ્યું છે," WHO ના ડિરેક્ટર જનરલે કહ્યું. ઉત્કૃષ્ટ યોગદાન રહ્યું છે.
