وزیر اعظم نریندر مودی نے ٹویٹ کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ سب کو اونم کی مبارکباد، خاص طور پر دنیا بھر میں پھیلے کیرالہ اور ملیالی کمیونٹی کے لوگوں کو۔ یہ تہوار مادر فطرت کے اہم کردار اور ہمارے محنتی کسانوں کی اہمیت کی تصدیق کرتا ہے۔ دعا ہے کہ اونم ہمارے معاشرے میں ہم آہنگی کے جذبے کو بھی آگے بڑھائے۔
وہیں نائب صدر جمہوریہ جگدیب دھنکڑ نے اونم کے تہوارپر تمام لوگوں کو مبارکباد دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ مہابلی کی یادوں کے احترام کے لیے منایا جانے والا، اونم سچائی، ہمدردی اور قربانی کے اعلی اقدار کی علامت ہے۔ یہ کھیتوں میں نئی فصلوں کے طور قدرت کی سخاوت کا تہوار منانے کا موقع ہے۔ انہوں نے کہا، ”میں اونم کے مبارک موقع پر اپنے ملک کے لوگوں کو دل سے مبارکباد دیتا ہوں۔ اونم سب کی زندگی میں امن، خوشحالی اور خوشی لائے۔
