Spring blossoms brought by the rising temperature have turned the Chinese capital of Beijing into one of the most mesmerizing places recently.
The ancient pavilions and bridges in the Summer Palace could be seen floating in puffy pink clouds as millions of peach blossoms whispered their charms in the cozy spring breeze. Such picturesque scene drew many visitors, who came to drain out their troubles and camera batteries.
Meanwhile, plum blossoms are also bringing the color, warmth and liveliness of spring to the Ming Dynasty City Wall Ruins. As the scarlet red blossoms stood against the sapphire sky outdoors, some plum blossoms were also placed indoors for the visitors to appreciate.
In addition, to better introduce and educate the visitors, the park has also set up an indoor exhibition.
"We came by train from Tianjin this morning (to appreciate the blossoms)," said a tourist.
Liu Chunsheng, the director of Beijing Ming Dynasty City Wall Ruins Park, says this year the park has seen a rise in tourist flow as well as the amount of flowers.
"Since the temperature in the capital is relatively high this year, the flowering came a bit earlier than previous years, and we are seeing more flowers. The flowering time is also relatively long, which brought a 30 percent rise in tourist flow compared to last year," said Liu.
According to Liu, the park now has some 1,000 plum blossoms of 50 species, and the mesmerizing scene is expected to last through March.
People are not the only ones who crawled out of their cozy house to appreciate the stunning view created by mother nature. In the local Liuyin Park, ducks and mandarin ducks are floating around in pairs to drink in the surrounding view they have long missed during the winter.
Yet their undisturbed water soon grew a little crowded as officials with Beihai Park announced the beginning of the boat-rowing season on Saturday. As citizens hopped on colorful boats to paddle across the lake, laughter and joy filled the air.
According to officials, the rowing season will last through early November.
