As we all know, most or dozens of our consulting firms are American firms, typically the IBM and Accenture. In addition, a large number of parts and components manufacturers have supported us greatly, especially in this hour of crisis, which really reflects the conscience of American enterprises."

"As we all know, there are four kinds of regulations. What has been imposed on us is not a seasonal regulation but an 'Entity List', which means anything that American companies want to sell to China must be approved. Huawei will not be affected by the list. However, the United States is a country under the rule of law, and American enterprises have to obey laws. Therefore, the entity list should obey the entity law."

"In the process of reporting, the media should deeply understand that enterprises and Huawei breathe the same breath and share the same destiny, and we are all the subjects of market operation. Some of our marginal low-end products may be affected and we have no preparation for them, as we think they will be phased out sooner or later. However, the most advanced fields will not be affected. In particular, 5G is absolutely not affected. In fact, we are two or three years ahead of others."

The most important thing for Huawei is to do its own job well, said Ren Zhengfei, founder and president of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd. on Tuesday.
The Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) of the U.S. Department of Commerce put Huawei and its affiliates on an "Entity List" on Thursday, which would restrict the sale or transfer of U.S. technologies to the company.
During an interview with China Central Television (CCTV) at the Huawei headquarters in Shenzhen City, south China's Guangdong Province, Ren said such an act shows that the U.S. government underestimates the strength of Huawei.
He noted that Huawei will not reject American chips easily, but it has also independently developed its own backup chips.
He said American enterprises have done a lot for Huawei in the process of its development over the years.
"I'm very grateful to American companies. Over the past 30 years, American companies have grown with our company, and they have made many selfless contributions. They taught us how to develop. As we all know, most or dozens of our consulting firms are American firms, typically the IBM and Accenture. In addition, a large number of parts and components manufacturers have supported us greatly, especially in this hour of crisis, which really reflects the conscience of American enterprises," said Ren.
In speaking of a phone call he received days ago, he said he was moved by the efforts by American enterprises.
"It should be the night before, I cannot remember clearly, around 02:00 or 03:00, I received a phone call to tell me the efforts made by American companies in the past year. I shed tears after hearing that. I think a just cause enjoys abundant support and vice versa. Moreover, today American enterprises are still trying to persuade the U.S. government to remove its regulation against Huawei," said Ren.
Huawei's mass production capacity is still very large at present, and the regulation will not cause negative growth of the company or harm the industrial development.
Therefore, the entity list should obey the entity law," he said.
Ren stressed that the most important thing for Huawei is to do its own job well, and Huawei's 5G technology is still two or three years ahead of others.
In fact, we are two or three years ahead of others," he said.
According to an announcement on Monday in response to Google's blocking to the updates of the Android operating system, Huawei said it is able to develop and use the Android system despite a Google ban.
Although the version of the Android operating system is still available through the open source license, users will lose access to popular applications involving Google Play Store, Gmail and YouTube in new-generation smart phones, which will severely slam Huawei's business in Europe.
Huawei said it has made substantial contributions to the development and growth of Android around the world, and will continue to provide security updates and after-sale services to all existing Huawei and Honor products.
