ASSOCIATED PRESS - AP CLIENTS ONLY
London - 21 March 2019
1. Pan right of British Parliament
2. Placard reading (English) "I'm not going away, it's my nation too"
3. EU flag and remain campaign placard reading "We don't back the Brexit deal"
4. Tilt down of leave campaigner holding placard reading (English) "Just hoot, we voted leave"
5. Leave campaigners with various placards
6. Pedestrians
7. Close of screen displaying online petition to revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU, which reached more than 1 million signatures on Thursday
8. Close of screen displaying petition signatures exeeding 1 million names
9. SOUNDBITE (English) Greg Paine, London resident:
"She (UK Prime Minister Theresa May) should never ever have extended (Britain's departure from the EU) only by three months, she should have extended by a far, far longer period for people to go back and have a proper think again. Because with a three-month extension she is basically saying 'it's my (her) decision, or it's a no deal Brexit again.' And she is wrong, it's shocking that they should be doing this for the country, such an important decision and they are completely doing it wrong."
10. Crowded London street
11. SOUNDBITE (English) Alan Grossman, London resident (answering reporter's question whether he thinks the petition to revoke Article 50 and remain in the EU will make a difference?)
"I don't think it will, though. Would I prefer to remain? Yes, I think plenty of people voted to leave and they didn't really recognise what they were voting for. I think some people voted to leave when they were doing a vote against (former Prime Minister David) Cameron, which was not really what the issue was. So do I think that actual issue would... I suppose so, but I don't think it will do. There are ultimately people who'll say 'what's happened to democracy?' and their version of democracy is that we've had a vote (in the 2016 referendum) and that should be the final vote."
12. Pedestrians
13. SOUNDBITE (English) David (No last name given), London resident:
"Yes, I entirely agree. Of course we should revoke the decision to leave the European Union. We should stay in the European Union. The people were sold a fantasy in June 2016. No one had any idea of what leaving meant. All it was, was a view to reject their current standard of living or their current problems. They didn't understand what they were doing. They were exploited."

15. Tilt down of Westminster
STORYLINE:
An online petition asking Britain to remain in the European Union caused a government website that hosts petitions to crash on Thursday.
More than 1 million people have so far signed the petition, thus backing a call to revoke Article 50 - the mechanism that triggered Britain's departure from the European Union.
That surpasses the 100,000 threshold needed for the petition to be debated in the UK Parliament.
A London resident, David, told the Associated Press that he entirely agrees with the aim of the petition.
"Of course we should revoke the decision to leave the European Union. We should stay in the European Union. The people were sold a fantasy in June 2016. No one had any idea of what leaving meant."
Another resident, Alan Grossman, said that while he would prefer for Britain to remain in the EU, he did not think the petition would make much difference.
"There are ultimately people who'll say 'what's happened to democracy?' and their version of democracy is that we've had a vote and that should be the final vote," Grossman said.
Actors Hugh Grant and Jennifer Saunders, author Caitlin Moran and ex-Labour press chief Alastair Campbell on Thursday turned to social media urging their followers to sign the petition.
Five hashtags related to remaining in the European Union were trending on Twitter on Thursday.
They included "Revoke Article 50," and #NotOnMySide, a reference to May's speech Wednesday in which she told the public that she was "on your side" in her efforts to carry out the result of the 2016 referendum.
