நடிகர் இர்ஃபான் கான் பாலிவுட் திரைப்படங்களில் 1988ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் நடித்து வந்தார். இவர் 'சலாம் பாம்பே', 'மக்பூல்', 'பான் சிங் தோமர்', 'தி லஞ்ச் பாக்ஸ்', உள்ளிட்ட பல வெற்றிப்படங்களில் நடித்து, ரசிகர்கள் மனதில் நீங்கா இடம் பிடித்தார்.
பாலிவுட் மட்டுமல்லாது 'ஸ்லெம்டாக் மில்லியனர்', 'லைஃப் ஆஃப் பை', 'ஜூராஸிக் வேர்ல்டு', 'அமேசிங் ஸ்பைடர் மேன்' உள்ளிட்ட ஹாலிவுட் படங்களிலும் இர்ஃபான் நடித்திருந்தார். 2011ஆம் ஆண்டு 'பான் சிங் தோமர்' படத்தில் நடித்ததற்காக தேசிய விருது பெற்றார்.
2018ஆம் ஆண்டு இர்ஃபான் கான், புற்று நோய்க்காக லண்டனில் சிகிச்சைப் பெற்று வந்தார். சமீபத்தில் இவரின் தாயார் வயது மூப்புக்காரணமாக உயிரிழந்தார்.
இந்நிலையில் நேற்றிரவு உடல் நலக்குறைவால் இர்ஃபான் கான் மும்பையில் தனியார் மருத்துவமனையில் சிகிச்சைக்காக அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டார்.
மருத்துவமனையில் தீவிர சிகிச்சைப் பெற்று வந்த, இர்ஃபான் கான் இன்று சிகிச்சைப் பலனின்றி உயிரிழந்தார். இவரின் மரணம் திரையுலகினரை பெரும் சோகத்தில் ஆழ்த்தியுள்ளது. இவரின் மரணத்திற்குப் பிரபலங்கள் தங்களது சமூக வலைதளப்பக்கத்தில் இரங்கல்கள் தெரிவித்து வருகின்றனர்.
