मुंबई - जवाहरलाल नेहरू विद्यापीठात (जेएनयू) झालेल्या हिंसाचारामध्ये विद्यापीठाच्या विद्यार्थी संघटनेच्या (जेएनयूएसयू) अध्यक्ष आयुशी घोष गंभीर जखमी झाल्या आहेत. काही गुंडानी चेहरे झाकून विद्यापीठातील शिक्षकांसह विद्यार्थ्यांना मारहाण केली. या घटनेचा अनेकांनी निषेध केला आहे. बॉलिवूड अभिनेत्री स्वरा भास्कर, तापसी पन्नु यांच्यासह इतर बऱ्याच कलाकारांनी देखील या घटनेबाबत संताप व्यक्त केला आहे.
अभिनेता रितेश देशमुखने या घटनेला 'भयंकर' असे म्हटले आहे. 'तुम्हाला चेहरे झाकण्याची गरज का पडली. कारण तुम्हाला माहिती आहे, की तुम्ही जे करत आहे ते चुकीचे आहे. बेकायदेशीर आहे. यामुळे तुम्हाला शिक्षा देखील होऊ शकते. अशाप्रकारचा हिंसाचार सहन केला जाणार नाही', असे रितेशने या घटनेबाबत ट्विट केले आहे.
