अमेरिकेतील राजदूतपदी तरणजीत सिंग संधू ?

भारताचे अमेरिकेतील राजदूत म्हणून तरणजीत सिंग संधू यांची निवड होणार असल्याची माहित सरकारी सुत्रांनी दिली आहे.

नवी दिल्ली - भारताचे अमेरिकेतील राजदूत म्हणून तरणजीत सिंग संधू यांची निवड होणार असल्याची माहिती सरकारी सुत्रांनी दिली आहे. तरणजीत सिंग संधू सध्या श्रीलंकेमध्ये भारताचे उच्चायुक्त म्हणून काम पाहत आहेत.

अमेरिकेत भारताचे राजदूत म्हणून हर्षवर्धन श्रींगला हे काम पाहत आहेत. त्यांची जागा संधू घेणार असल्याची माहिती पुढे आली आहे. संधू २४ जानेवारी २०१७ पासून श्रीलंकेत भारताचे राजदूत म्हणून काम पाहत आहेत. याआधी त्यांनी २०१३ ते २०१७ पर्यंत 'डेप्यूटी चीफ ऑफ मिशन अ‌ॅट एम्बसी ऑफ इंडिया' वॉशिंग्टन डी. सी येथे काम केले आहे. तसेच संधू यांनी १९९७ ते २००० साली इंडियन मिशन वॉशिंग्टन डी. सी येथे काम केले आहे. त्यामुळे संधू यांची अमेरिकेतील राजकीय वर्तुळात चांगली ओळख असल्याचे बोलले जाते.
