निर्भया सामूहिक बलात्कार प्रकरणी दोषी मुकेश सिंह याची दया राष्ट्रपतींनी १७ जानेवारीला फेटाळली आहे. निर्भया प्रकरणातील चौघे दोषी विनय कुमार शर्मा, अक्षय सिंह, मुकेश कुमार सिंह आणि पवन गुप्ता यांना १ फेब्रुवारीला फाशी देण्यात येणार आहे. तसेच पटिलाया न्यायालयाने खटल्यावर कोणताही आदेश देण्यात नकार दिला आहे.
