ചെന്നൈ: ദേശീയ പുരസ്‌കാര ജേതാവും തമിഴ് സിനിമാ രംഗത്തെ പ്രശസ്‌തനായ സംവിധായകനുമായ എസ്.പി ജനനാഥന്‍ ഗുരുതരാവസ്ഥയില്‍. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസമാണ് ഹോട്ടല്‍ മുറിയില്‍ ബോധരഹിതനായി അദ്ദേഹത്തെ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. സിനിമപ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ ചേര്‍ന്നാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ എത്തിച്ചത്. ചെന്നൈയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ തീവ്രപരിചരണ വിഭാഗത്തില്‍ ചികിത്സയിലാണ് ഇപ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം.

നടന്‍ വിജയ് സേതുപതി പ്രധാന വേഷത്തിലെത്തുന്ന ഏറ്റവും പുതിയ സിനിമ ലാഭം എന്ന ചിത്രമാണ് ജനനാഥന്‍ അവസാനമായി സംവിധാനം ചെയ്‌തത്. ചിത്രത്തിന്‍റെ എഡിറ്റിങ് പുരോഗമിക്കുകയാണ്. കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം ഉച്ചയ്ക്കുള്ള ഇടവേളയില്‍ സ്റ്റുഡിയോയില്‍ നിന്ന് ഹോട്ടലിലേക്ക് പോയതായിരുന്നു അദ്ദേഹം. നാലുമണി കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടും തിരികെ എത്താത്തതിനെ തുടര്‍ന്ന് സഹപ്രവര്‍ത്തകര്‍ ഹോട്ടല്‍ മുറിയില്‍ കയറി പരിശോധിച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് ബോധമില്ലാത്ത നിലയില്‍ കണ്ടെത്തിയത്. ഇയര്‍ക്കയ്‌, ഈ, പേരാണ്‍മയ്‌, ഭൂലോഹം എന്നിവയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം സംവിധാനം ചെയ്‌ത മറ്റ് സിനിമകള്‍. സംവിധായകന്‍ എന്നതിന് പുറമെ തിരക്കഥാകൃത്ത് കൂടിയാണ് അദ്ദേഹം.
