ನವದೆಹಲಿ: ಉತ್ತರ ಭಾರತದ ಹಲವು ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಪಮಾನ 45 ಡಿಗ್ರಿ ಸೆಲ್ಸಿಯಸ್ ಮೀರಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಭಾರತ ಹವಾಮಾನ ಇಲಾಖೆ ತಿಳಿಸಿದೆ.
ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರರಾಜಧಾನಿ ದೆಹಲಿ, ಪಂಜಾಬ್, ಹರಿಯಾಣ, ಚಂಡೀಗಢ ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜಸ್ಥಾನಗಳಿಗೆ ಮುಂದಿನ ಎರಡು ದಿನಗಳವರೆಗೆ ಹವಾಮಾನ ಇಲಾಖೆ ರೆಡ್ ಅಲರ್ಟ್ ಘೋಷಿಸಿದೆ.
ಪೂರ್ವ ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಸಿ ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಕೆಲ ಜಿಲ್ಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಆರೆಂಜ್ ಅಲರ್ಟ್ ಘೋಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಮುಂದಿನ 2-3 ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಲವು ಭಾಗಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಪಮಾನವು 47 ಡಿಗ್ರಿ ಸೆಲ್ಸಿಯಸ್ವರೆಗೆ ಏರಿಕೆಯಾಗಬಹುದು ಎಂದು ಐಎಂಡಿ ಪ್ರಾದೇಶಿಕ ಹವಾಮಾನ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಮುಖ್ಯಸ್ಥ ಕುಲದೀಪ್ ಶ್ರೀವಾಸ್ತವ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಈ ಬೇಸಿಗೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಬಿಸಿ ಗಾಳಿಗೆ ರೆಡ್ ಅಲರ್ಟ್ ನೀಡಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಏಪ್ರಿಲ್‌ ಮತ್ತು ಮೇ ಮಧ್ಯದವರೆಗೆ ಮಳೆಯ ಚಟುವಟಿಕೆ ಮುಂದುವರೆಯಿತು. ಹೀಗಾಗಿ, ಈ ಋತುವಿನಲ್ಲಿ ತಾಪಮಾನವು ಸಾಮಾನ್ಯವಾಗಿ ಉತ್ತರ ಮತ್ತು ಮಧ್ಯ ಭಾರತದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಮುಂದಿನ ಐದು ದಿನಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಪಂಜಾಬ್, ಹರಿಯಾಣ, ಚಂಡೀಗಢ, ದೆಹಲಿ, ರಾಜಸ್ಥಾನ, ಉತ್ತರ ಪ್ರದೇಶ, ಮಧ್ಯಪ್ರದೇಶ, ವಿದರ್ಭ ಮತ್ತು ತೆಲಂಗಾಣದ ಕೆಲವು ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ತೀವ್ರವಾದ ಬಿಸಿ ಗಾಳಿ ಬೀಸಲಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಎಚ್ಚರಿಕೆ ನೀಡಿದೆ.

Heatwave: IMD issues red alert for Punjab, Haryana and Delhi
New Delhi: With temperatures surpassing the 45 degrees Celsius-mark across several parts in north India, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday issued a 'red' warning for Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Rajasthan for the next two days.
The IMD has also issued an orange warning for heatwave for east Uttar Pradesh, said Kuldeep Srivastava, the head of IMD's Regional Meteorological Centre.
He cautioned that temperatures could soar up to 47 degrees Celsius in some parts over the next 2-3 days.
This is also for the first time this summer season that a red warning has been issued for heatwave, Srivastava said. This season, the temperatures did not rise the way it usually does in north and central India because of significant rainfall activity during April that continued till mid-May.
On Saturday, Pilani in Rajasthan recorded 46.7 degrees Celsius.
"Heatwave conditions over some parts with severe heatwave over isolated pockets are very likely over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha and Telnagana during the next five days," the IMD said in its daily bulletin.
