ಡಿಆರ್​ಡಿಒ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮೋಸ್ ಸೂಪರ್​ ಸಾನಿಕ್ ಟಾರ್ಪೆಡೋ (ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್​​) ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾ ಉಡಾವಣೆಯೊಂದಿಗೆ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಮೈಲಿಗಲ್ಲು ಸಾಧಿಸಿದೆ.

ನವದೆಹಲಿ: ಒಡಿಶಾ ಕರಾವಳಿಯ ವೀಲರ್​ ದ್ವೀಪದ ಬಳಿ ಭಾರತ ಸೂಪರ್​ ಸಾನಿಕ್​ ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿ ಟಾರ್ಪೆಡೋ (ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್​​) ಪ್ರಯೋಗ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿ ನಡೆಸಲಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಕೇಂದ್ರ ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಸಚಿವ ರಾಜನಾಥ್​ ಸಿಂಗ್​​ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಜಲಾಂತರ್ಗಾಮಿ ವಿರೋಧಿ ಯುದ್ಧದಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಟ್ಯಾಂಡ್​ ಆಫ್​ ಸಾರ್ಮಥ್ಯಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಇದು ಪ್ರಮುಖವಾಗಿ ಕಾರ್ಯ ನಿರ್ವಹಿಸಲಿದೆ. ಈ ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿ ಹಗುರವಾದ ಟಾರ್ಪೆಡೋ ಸಿಸ್ಟಮ್​ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಸಮರ ನೌಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ 'ಸ್ಮಾರ್ಟ್​' ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿಗಳನ್ನು ಅಳವಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ.

ಕಳೆದ ನಾಲ್ಕು ದಿನಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದೇ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ಬ್ರಹ್ಮೋಸ್​ ಸೂಪರ್​ ಸಾನಿಕ ಕ್ರೂಸ್​ ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿಯ ಪರೀಕ್ಷಾರ್ಥ ಪ್ರಯೋಗ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿ, ರಾಜನಾಥ್​​ ಸಿಂಗ್​ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಕೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ರಕ್ಷಣಾ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಮತ್ತು ಸಂಶೋಧನಾ ಸಂಸ್ಥೆ (ಡಿಆರ್​ಡಿಒ) ಸಂಪೂರ್ಣ ದೇಶೀಯವಾಗಿ ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿರುವ ಭೂಮಿಯಿಂದ ಚಿಮ್ಮುವ ಸೂಪರ್ ಸಾನಿಕ್ ಕ್ಷಿಪಣಿ ಇದಾಗಿದೆ.
