कोरोनावायरस: दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के बाद पहली हार रद हुआ विंबलडन

एईएलटीसी ने एक बयान में कहा, 'हमें बड़े दुख के साथ बताना पड़ रहा है कि ऑल इंग्लैंड क्लब और प्रबंधन समिति ने यह फैसला किया है कि चैम्पियनशिप-2020 को इस साल रद किया जाता है.'

लंदन: विंबलडन चैम्पियनशिप-2020 को आधिकारिक तौर पर रद कर दिया गया है. ऑल इंग्लैंड लॉन टेनिस क्लब (एईएलटीसी) ने बुधवार को इस बात की जानकारी दी.

एईएलटीसी ने बुधवार को कहा है कि यह टूर्नामेंट अब 28 जून से 11 जुलाई 2021 के बीच आयोजित किया जाएगा. 1945 के बाद से यह पहली बार है कि यह टूर्नामेंट रद किया गया है. इससे पहले दूसरे विश्व युद्ध के दौरान इसे रद किया गया था.

एईएलटीसी ने एक बयान में कहा, "हमें बड़े दुख के साथ बताना पड़ रहा है कि ऑल इंग्लैंड क्लब और प्रबंधन समिति ने यह फैसला किया है कि चैम्पियनशिप-2020 को इस साल रद किया जाता है जिसका कारण कोरोनावायरस है. 134वीं चैम्पियनशिप अब 28 जून से 11 जुलाई 2021 के बीच खेली जाएगी."
