बांग्लादेश से मिले 257 रन तक पहुंचने के लिए अंतिम समय में कोहली मुख्य रूप से स्ट्राइक अपने पास रखकर अंतिम 30 रन बनाने में सफल रहे. इस दौरान कोहली ने आखिरी 21 गेंदों में 8 डॉट बॉल का सामना किया. कोहली का शतक पूरा कराने के लिए राहुल ने अंत में रन नहीं बनाए और सिंगल भी नहीं लिया. इसके बाद से टीम इंडिया रन रेट में पीछे रह गई.
