मुंबई : कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स (केकेआर) के स्टार बल्लेबाज ने मुंबई इंडियंस के खिलाफ मुंबई स्थित वानखेडे़ स्टेडियम में इंडियन प्रीमियर लीग (आईपीएल) 2023 के 22वें मैच में अपना मेडन आईपीएल शतक जड़ा है. टॉस हारकर पहले बल्लेबाजी करने उतरी केकेआर की टीम ने 11 रन के स्कोर पर अपना पहला विकेट गंवा दिया था. फिर तीसरे नंबर पर बल्लेबाजी करने मैदान पर उतरे केकेआर के बाएं हाथ के बल्लेबाज वेंकटेश अय्यर ने पहले संभलकर बल्लेबाजी की फिर बाद में ताबड़तोड़ बल्लेबाजी करते हुए 49 गेंदों में अपना शतक पूरा किया. इस शानदार शतक की बदौलत वेंकटेश अय्यर ने कई रिकॉर्ड अपने नाम किए.

केकेआर के किसी खिलाड़ी ने 15 साल बाद जड़ा आईपीएल शतक
मुंबई इंडियंस के खिलाफ शानदार शतक जड़ने वाले वेंकटेश अय्यर ने केकेआर के खिलाड़ी के रूप में 15 साल बाद कोई शतक जड़ा है. आईपीएल के पहले सीजन साल 2008 के ओपनिंग मैच में कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स के ओपनर बल्लेबाज ब्रेडन मैक्कुलम ने रॉयल चैलेंजर्स बैंगलोर के खिलाफ नाबाद 158 रन बनाकर शतक जड़ा था. उसके बाद अब आईपीएल के 16वें सीजन में केकेआर के बल्लेबाज वेंकटेश अय्यर ने 15 सालों के सूखे को खत्म कर केकेआर के लिए एक शानदार शतक जड़ा है. वेंकटेश अय्यर आईपीएल में शतक जड़ने वाले कोलकाता नाइट राइडर्स के दूसरे बल्लेबाज बन गए हैं.

मात्र 49 गेंद में जड़ा तूफानी शतक
केकेआर के बाएं हाथ के धाकड़ बल्लेबाज वेंकटेश अय्यर ने मात्र 49 गेंदों का सामना करते हुए आईपीएल का अपना पहला शतक पूरा किया. वेंकटेश अय्यर ने 51 गेंद में 104 रनों की ताबड़तोड़ पारी खेली. अपनी इस पारी में वेंकटेश अय्यर ने 6 चौके और 9 गगनचुंबी छक्के जड़े. अय्यर ने 203.92 के स्ट्राइक रेट से बल्लेबाजी करते हुए मैदान के चारों ओर चौके-छक्कों की बरसात कर दी. अय्यर की शानदार बल्लेबाजी के सामने मुंबई इंडियंस के सभी गेंदबाज पानी मांगते हुए नजर आए.
