हैदराबाद: भारतीय टीम के पूर्व कप्तान महेंद्र सिंह धोनी के साथ ही बाएं हाथ के बल्लेबाज सुरेश रैना ने भी अंतर्राष्ट्रीय क्रिकेट से संन्यास की घोषणा कर दी. दोनों खिलाड़ियों ने इंस्टाग्राम के माध्यम से इस बात की जानकारी दी.
रैना ने अपने आधिकारिक इंस्टाग्राम अकाउंट पर चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स के कपड़े पहने हुए केदार जाधव, धोनी, मोनू सिंह, अंबाती रायडू, और कर्ण शर्मा के साथ एक तस्वीर शेयर करते हुए संन्यास की जानकारी दी.

बता दें कि स्टार बल्लेबाज सुरेश रैना ने अपना आखिरी अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैच इंग्लैंड के खिलाफ 17 जुलाई 2018 में खेला था जिसके बाद से रैना भारतीय टीम से बाहर चल रहे थे. रैना, धोनी की कप्तानी में टी-20 विश्व कप-2007 और वनडे विश्व कप-2011 जीतने वाली भारतीय टीम के हिस्सा रहे हैं. वह आईपीएल में धोनी की ही कप्तानी वाली चेन्नई सुपर किंग्स के साथ खेलते आए हैं.
33 साल के रैना दुनिया के उन चुनिंदा खिलाड़ियों में शामिल हैं जिन्होंने खेल के तीनों प्रारूपों में शतक जड़े हैं. उन्होंने 18 टेस्ट, 226 वनडे और 78 टी20 अंतरराष्ट्रीय मैचों में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व किया. रैना ने 2011 विश्व कप में भारत की खिताब जीत के दौरान ऑस्ट्रेलिया के खिलाफ महत्वपूर्ण नाबाद पारी खेली थी.
