वेनेजुएला के राष्ट्रपति निकोलस मादुरो ने अपने ब्राजीलियाई समकक्ष बोल्सोनारो को हिटलर के जैसा बताया. दरअसल, बोल्सोनारो ने संकेत दिया है वह वेनेजुएला को अलग करने के अपने प्रयासों में अमेरिकी सरकार का समर्थन करेगा.

Bolsonaro said that he was thinking of militarily invading Venezuela, that Brazil was going to invade Venezuela militarily. After having visited Washington to talk with (US President Donald) Trump, after having spent four days in Israel with (Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu. On his return from those trips he became crazier than ever."

The Venezuelan President, Nicolas Maduro, branded his Brazilian counterpart an "aspiring fascist, a Hitler wannabe" on Friday, following Jair Bolsonaro's alleged threats to invade the northern neighbour.
Maduro was speaking at a World Federation of Democratic Youth and the World Peace Council summit at the Miraflores Presidential Palace in Caracas.
Tensions continued to rise in Latin America when Bolsonaro hinted earlier this week he would support the US government in its efforts to isolate Venezuela.
Venezuelan government TV footage showed Maduro denouncing Bolsonaro's speech, saying that the Brazilian president is "an imitator of Hitler. A mad crazy, crazy guy who came to the presidency unfortunately."
He added that the people of Brazil now "rejected" Bolsonaro, who has recently marked his 100th day in power.
Bolsonaro has held meetings with US President Donald Trump, whose administration continues to impose sanctions on Venezuela.
On Friday, the US Treasury Department targeted four companies and nine ships, including some that transported oil from Venezuela to Cuba, as part of the Trump administration's ongoing efforts to isolate Maduro.
