नई दिल्ली: पूर्व भारतीय क्रिकेटर बिशन सिंह बेदी का सोमवार 23 अक्टूबर को निधन हो गया. दिल्ली के जोनपुर स्थित फार्म हाउस में उन्होंने अपनी अंतिम सांस ली. वह 77 साल के थे. जानकारी के मुताबिक उनका अंतिम संस्कार मंगलवार को लोधी रोड शमशान घाट पर किया जाएगा. निधन के सूचना मिलने के बाद उनके प्रशंसक फॉर्म हाउस पर जुटने लगे हैं. लोग जाकर परिवार को अपनी संवेदना व्यक्त कर रहे हैं.
वहीं, दिल्ली के क्रिकेटर से लेकर राजनेता तक उनके निधन पर शोक जता रहे हैं. दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल ने X पर लिखा, 'प्रतिष्ठित स्पिनर और पूर्व भारतीय कप्तान बिशन सिंह बेदी जी के निधन के बारे में सुनकर दुख हुआ. क्रिकेट में उनकी विरासत पीढ़ियों को प्रेरित करती रहेगी. उनके परिवार और क्रिकेट जगत के प्रति मेरी गहरी संवेदनाएं.

अमृतसर में हुआ था जन्मः बिशन सिंह बेदी का जन्म 25 सितंबर 1946 को भारत के अमृतसर में हुआ था. वह बाएं हाथ के गेंदबाज थे. उन्होंने भारत के लिए 1966 से 1979 तक 67 टेस्ट मैच खेले और 266 विकेट लिए. भाजपा दिल्ली प्रदेश अध्यक्ष वीरेंद्र सचदेवा ने ट्वीट कर लिखा, 'भारत के पूर्व टेस्ट कप्तान और महान स्पिनर बिशन सिंह बेदी जी के निधन के बारे में जानकर गहरा दुख हुआ. दुख की इस घड़ी में उनके परिवार और दोस्तों और प्रशंसा के साथ मेरी संवेदनाएं. ओम शांति.'
