નવી દિલ્હીઃ ભારતીય ટીમે FIH મેન્સ હોકી વર્લ્ડ કપની ક્રોસઓવર મેચમાં ન્યૂઝીલેન્ડ સામે ટક્કર કરી હતી. કલિંગા સ્ટેડિયમમાં રમાયેલી પૂલ ડીની મેચમાં બંને ટીમો નિર્ધારિત સમયના અંત સુધી 3-3ની બરાબરી પર હતી. જે બાદ મેચ પેનલ્ટી શૂટઆઉટ સુધી પહોંચી હતી. જ્યાં ન્યૂઝીલેન્ડે ભારતને 5-4થી હરાવ્યું હતું. 24 જાન્યુઆરીએ ક્વાર્ટર ફાઇનલમાં ન્યૂઝીલેન્ડનો મુકાબલો ડિફેન્ડિંગ ચેમ્પિયન બેલ્જિયમ સામે થશે. આ સાથે જ યજમાન ભારત વર્લ્ડ કપમાંથી બહાર થઈ ગયું.
