નવી દિલ્હી: ઈન્ટરનેશનલ ક્રિકેટ કાઉન્સિલ (ICC)એ જાહેરાત કરી છે કે, 2021માં ન્યૂઝીલેન્ડમાં રમાનાર મહિલા વર્લ્ડ કપની બધી જ મેચમાં (નૉક આઉટ, સેમીફાઈનલ, ફાઈનલ )માં રિઝર્વ ડે હશે.

હવે સવાલ એ ઉભો થાય છે કે, જો વરસાદને કારણે મેચ નહીં રમાય તો શું થશે? જેનો જવાબ છે રિઝર્વ ડે. હા વર્લ્ડ કપમાં રિઝર્વ ડેને પ્લે ઓફ મેચ એટલે કે સેમિ-ફાઇનલ અને ફાઈનલ મેચ માટે રિઝર્વ ડે રાખવામાં આવ્યો છે. ICC મહિલા T-20 વર્લ્ડ કપની સેમીફાઈનલ મેચમાં રિઝર્વ ડે ન રાખવાથી ICCને ટીકાનો સામનો કરવો પડ્યો હતો. ભારત અને ઈગ્લેન્ડ વચ્ચે રમાયેલ સેમીફાઈનલ મેચ રદ્દ થઈ હતી. ભારતીય ટીમને ગ્રુપમાં ટૉપ પર રહેવાના કારણે ફાઈનલમાં સ્થાન મેળવ્યું હતું. જ્યારે ઈગ્લેન્ડની ટીમ મેચ રમ્યા વગર ટૂનામેન્ટમાંથી બહાર થઈ હતી.

ICCએ મહિલા વર્લ્ડ કપ 2021માં રમાનાર 31 મેચના શિડ્યુલ જાહેર કર્યું છે. આ મેચનું આયોજન ન્યૂઝીલેન્ડે 6 સ્થાન પર રમશે. જેમાં હેમિલ્ટન, ટૌરંગા, વેલિંગ્ટન, ક્રાઈસ્ટચર્ચ અને ડુનેડિન સામેલ છે.

ટૂનામેન્ટના સેમીફાઈનલ મુકાબલો ટૌરંગા અને હેમિલ્ટનમાં ક્રમશ 3 માર્ચ અને 4 માર્ચના રમાશે. જ્યારે વર્લ્ડ કપનો ફાઈનલ મુકાબલો ક્રાઈસ્ટચર્ચના હેગ્લે મેદાન પર 7 માર્ચના રમાશે.વર્લ્ડ કપમાં કુલ 4 ટીમ ભાગ લેશે. જેમાં અત્યારસુધીમાં 4 ટીમ ક્વોલીફાઈ કર્યુ છે, અન્ય ટીમોના નામ શ્રીલંકામાં જુલાઈમાં વીમેય ચેમ્પિયન અને ક્વોલીફાઈ ઈવેન્ટ બાદ નક્કી થશે.

ઑસ્ટ્રેલિયા,ગત્ત ચેમ્પિયન, ઈગ્લેન્ડ, દક્ષિણ આફ્રિકા અને ન્યૂઝીલેન્ડે પહેલા જ વર્લ્ડ કપ માટે ક્વોલીફાય કર્યુ છે. જેની સાથે 2021 મહિલા વર્લ્ડ કપ માટે ઇનામની રકમ પણ વધારવામાં આવી છે.
