મુંબઈઃ વડાપ્રધાન નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ ટાટા ગ્રૂપના પૂર્વ અધ્યક્ષ સાયરસ મિસ્ત્રીના નિધન પર શોક વ્યક્ત કર્યું છે. તેમણે એક ટ્વીટ કરીને લખ્યું હતું કે, સાયરસ મિસ્ત્રીનું આવી રીતે અચાનક રીતે જવું શોક સમાન છે. આ સાથે ઉદ્યોગજગતને મોટી ખોટ પડશે. ટાટા ગ્રૂપના સાયરસ મિસ્ત્રીનું રવિવારે કાર (Former chairman of Tata Sons Cyrus Mistry) અકસ્માતમાં મૃત્યું (Cyrus Mistry Car Accident) થયું છે. મુંબઈના પાલઘર પાસે એમની કાર ડિવાઈડર સાથે ધડાકાભેર અથડાઈ ગઈ હતી. અકસ્માતમાં સાયરસ મિસ્ત્રીનું (Cyrus Mistry dies in a road accident) ઘટનાસ્થળે જ મોત થયું હતું. સાયરસ મિસ્ત્રી 2019માં ટાટા ઈન્ડસ્ટ્રીઝ ગ્રુપના ચેરમેન હતા. અકસ્માતમાં સાયરસ મિસ્ત્રીનું ઘટનાસ્થળે (Mumbai Ahmedabad National Highway) જ મોત થયું હતું. સાયરસ મિસ્ત્રી 2019માં ટાટા ઈન્ડસ્ટ્રીઝ ગ્રુપના ચેરમેન હતા. મિસ્ત્રી, જેઓ ટાટા સન્સના છઠ્ઠા ચેરમેન હતા, તેઓને ઓક્ટોબર 2016માં પદ પરથી હાંકી કાઢવામાં આવ્યા હતા.
કાર અકસ્માતમાં મૃત્યુંઃ રતન ટાટાએ તેમની નિવૃત્તિની જાહેરાત કર્યા બાદ ડિસેમ્બર 2012માં તેમણે ચેરમેન તરીકેનો કાર્યભાર સંભાળ્યો હતો. ચંદ્રશેખરન બાદમાં ટાટા સન્સના એક્ઝિક્યુટિવ ચેરમેન તરીકે કાર્યભાર સંભાળ્યો હતો. રવિવારે સાડા ત્રણ વાગ્યાની આસપાસ અમદાવાદથી મુંબઈ આવી રહ્યા હતા. તે સમયે આ અકસ્માત થયો હોવાનું જાણવા મળે છે. તેઓ મર્સિડીઝ કારમાં મુસાફરી કરી રહ્યા હતા. પાલઘરના પોલીસ અધિક્ષકે આ અંગે માહિતી આપી છે કે ડિવાઈડ પર કાર અથડાવાને કારણે આ અકસ્માત થયો હતો. પોલીસે આ અંગે વધુ તપાસ હાથ ધરી હોવાનું પણ જાણવા મળે છે.

મુંબઈ જઈ રહ્યા હતાઃ મિસ્ત્રી અમદાવાદથી મુંબઈ મર્સિડીઝ કારમાં જઈ રહ્યા હતા. મિસ્ત્રી અમદાવાદથી મુંબઈ જઈ રહ્યા હતા ત્યારે બપોરે 3.15 વાગ્યાની આસપાસ આ અકસ્માત થયો હતો. તેમની કાર સૂર્યા નદી પરના પુલ પરના ડિવાઈડર સાથે અથડાઈ હતી. પોલીસ અધિકારીએ જણાવ્યું કે કારના ડ્રાઈવર સહિત તેની સાથે મુસાફરી કરી રહેલા અન્ય બે લોકો ઈજાગ્રસ્ત થયા છે. તમામ ઈજાગ્રસ્તોને ગુજરાતની એક હોસ્પિટલમાં દાખલ કરવામાં આવ્યા છે.

ચેરમેન પદેથી હટાવ્યાઃ સાયરસ પલોનજી મિસ્ત્રીનો જન્મ 4 જુલાઈ 1968ના રોજ થયો હતો. તેઓ 28 ડિસેમ્બર 2012ના રોજ ટાટા જૂથના ચેરમેન બન્યા હતા. ટાટા ગ્રુપે 24 ઓક્ટોબર 2016ના રોજ સાયરસ મિસ્ત્રીને ચેરમેન પદેથી હટાવ્યા હતા. મિસ્ત્રીએ મુંબઈની કેથેડ્રલ અને જ્હોન કોનન સ્કૂલમાં અભ્યાસ કર્યો હતો. તેણે ઈમ્પીરીયલ કોલેજ, લંડનમાંથી સિવિલ એન્જિનિયરિંગમાં BS અને લંડન બિઝનેસ સ્કૂલમાંથી મેનેજમેન્ટમાં માસ્ટર ઓફ સાયન્સ સાથે સ્નાતક થયા.
