નવી દિલ્હી: કર્ણાટકની 224 વિધાનસભા બેઠકો ઉપરાંત 4 રાજ્યોની એક લોકસભા અને 4 વિધાનસભા બેઠકોના પરિણામો પણ શનિવારે આવ્યા હતા. પંજાબની જલંધર લોકસભા સીટ પર આમ આદમી પાર્ટી (AAP)એ જીત મેળવી છે. કોંગ્રેસ સાંસદ સંતોખ સિંહ ચૌધરીનું જાન્યુઆરીમાં પાર્ટીની 'ભારત જોડો' યાત્રા દરમિયાન હાર્ટ એટેકથી અવસાન થયું હતું. તેથી જ આ બેઠક પર પેટાચૂંટણી યોજાઈ હતી.

સોહિયોંગ પેટાચૂંટણીમાં UDP ના ઉમેદવારની જીત: યુનાઇટેડ ડેમોક્રેટિક પાર્ટી (UDP) ના ઉમેદવાર સિંશર કુપર રોય લિંગદોહ થાબાએ મેઘાલયના પૂર્વ ખાસી હિલ્સ જિલ્લામાં સોહિયોંગ વિધાનસભા બેઠક તેમના નજીકના પ્રતિસ્પર્ધી નેશનલ પીપલ્સ પાર્ટી (NPP) ના સામલિન મલંગિયાંગ પર 3,422 મતોના માર્જિનથી જીતી લીધી. દ્વારા થાબાહને 16,679 વોટ મળ્યા જ્યારે મલંગિયાંગને સિક્સ કોર્નર હરીફાઈમાં 13,257 વોટ મળ્યા. કોંગ્રેસના ઉમેદવાર એસ. ઓસ્બોર્ન ખરજાના અને ભાજપના સેરાફ એરિક ખારબુકીને અનુક્રમે 1,762 અને 40 મત મળ્યા, જ્યારે NOTA (તેમાંથી એક પણ) ને 272 મત મળ્યા નથી.

જલંધર લોકસભા સીટ: ભારતીય જનતા પાર્ટી (BJP), કોંગ્રેસ, અકાલી દળ અને સત્તારૂઢ આમ આદમી પાર્ટી (AAP) વચ્ચે ચાર ખૂણાની હરીફાઈની સાક્ષી આપતા જલંધર લોકસભા પેટાચૂંટણી માટે મતોની ગણતરી સવારે શરૂ થઈ. . નિયામક, લેન્ડ રેકર્ડ અને સ્પોર્ટ્સ કોલેજ કોમ્પ્લેક્સ, કપૂરથલા રોડની ઓફિસમાં સ્થાપિત મતગણતરી કેન્દ્રોની આસપાસ કડક સુરક્ષા વ્યવસ્થા કરવામાં આવી છે. AAPના સુશીલ રિંકુ, કોંગ્રેસના કરમજીત કૌર ચૌધરી, BJPના ઈન્દર ઈકબાલ સિંહ અટવાલ અને શિરોમણી અકાલી દળ (SAD)ના સુખવિંદર કુમાર સુખી 19 ઉમેદવારો મેદાનમાં છે. અધિકારીઓએ જણાવ્યું કે 10 મેના રોજ યોજાયેલી પેટાચૂંટણીમાં 54.70 ટકા મતદાન નોંધાયું હતું. આ 2019ની લોકસભા ચૂંટણીમાં નોંધાયેલા 63.04 ટકા કરતાં ઘણું ઓછું હતું. જાન્યુઆરીમાં કોંગ્રેસના સાંસદ સંતોખ સિંહ ચૌધરીના નિધન બાદ જાલંધર બેઠક ખાલી પડી હતી.
