দিঘা, ১০ ফেব্রুয়ারি : জুনপুটে দহসোনামুই সমুদ্রের তীরে ফের ডলফিনের মৃতদেহ উদ্ধার হল। অন্যদিকে আজ ওল্ড দিঘার সমুদ্র সৈকতে একটি কচ্ছপের দেহ উদ্ধার হয়েছে। কচ্ছপটির ওজন প্রায় ৪০ কেজি। বেশ কয়েকদিন ধরেই সমুদ্র সৈকতে পড়েছিল কচ্ছপের দেহটি। বন্যপ্রাণ বিভাগকে বারবার খবর দিলেও তারা আসেনি বলে অভিযোগ।

জুনপুট কোস্টাল থানার পুলিশ এলাকার বাসিন্দাদের সাহায্যে মৃত ডলফিনটিকে সমুদ্র সৈকত থেকে সরিয়ে নিয়ে যায়। কয়েকদিন আগেও ওই জায়গায় দুটি ডলফিনের দেহ উদ্ধার হয়েছিল। এই এলাকায় কেন বার বার মৃত ডলফিনের দেহ পাওয়া যাচ্ছে তা খতিয়ে দেখতে তদন্তে নেমেছে পুলিশ ও বন্যপ্রাণ বিভাগের আধিকারিকরা

STORYLINE:
Egypt's President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi has been elected chairman of the African Union at the continental body's summit in Ethiopia.
The Egyptian leader addressed the summit, saying he would focus on security on the African continent.
El-Sisi's election brought to an end the one-year chairmanship of Rwanda's President Paul Kagame.
African Union chairmen set agendas of issues to be addressed during their one-year tenure.
During his tenure, Kagame dramatically challenged the election results in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
Amnesty International warned that el-Sisi's chairmanship might undermine the African Union's human rights mechanisms.
The rights group said Egypt has since 2015 orchestrated a sustained political attack against the African Commission on Human and Peoples' Rights, the body that aims to monitor African states' human rights records.
Egyptian leaders have been absent from African Union meetings since 1995 when an assassination attempt was made on the life of former leader Hosni Mubarak.
