প্রয়াত প্রাক্তন সাংসদ গুরুদাস দাশগুপ্ত

মারা গেলেন প্রাক্তন বাম সাংসদ গুরুদাস দাশগুপ্ত ৷ নিজের বাড়িতেই আজ শেষ নিশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন তিনি ৷ তাঁর মৃত্যুতে দুঃখপ্রকাশ করে রাজনৈতিক মহল ৷

কলকাতা, 31 অক্টোবর : প্রয়াত হলেন প্রাক্তন বাম সাংসদ গুরুদাস দাশগুপ্ত ৷ বয়স হয়েছিল 83 বছর ৷ হার্ট ও কিডনির সমস্যায় ভুগছিলেন অনেকদিন ধরে ৷ আজ ভোরে শেষ নিশ্বাস ত্যাগ করেন তিনি ৷ আগামী কাল তাঁর শেষকৃত্য সম্পন্ন হবে ৷

পশ্চিমবঙ্গের CPI সেক্রেটারি স্বপন বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় বলেন, "আজ সকাল ছ'টা নাগাদ কলকাতায় নিজের বাড়িতে মারা যান গুরুদাস দাশগুপ্ত ৷ শারীরিক অবস্থা খারাপ থাকার কারণে নিজের পদ থেকেও সরে গিয়েছিলেন ৷"

গুরুদাস দাশগুপ্ত 1936 সালের 3 নভেম্বর জন্মগ্রহণ করেন ৷ এই CPI নেতা 1985 সালে রাজ্যসভার সাংসদ নির্বাচিত হন ৷ 2001 সালে অল ইন্ডিয়া ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন কংগ্রেসের (AITUC) সাধারণ সম্পাদক নির্বাচিত হন ৷ 2004 সালে লোকসভা নির্বাচনে পাঁশকুড়া থেকে জয়ী হন ৷ 2009 সালে ঘাটাল লোকসভা কেন্দ্র থেকে জয়ী হন ৷

গুরুদাস দাশগুপ্তর মৃত্যুতে দুঃখ প্রকাশ করেন মুখ্যমন্ত্রী মমতা বন্দ্যোপাধ্যায় ৷ তিনি টুইট করেন, "CPI নেতা গুরুদাস দাশগুপ্তর মৃত্যুতে দুঃখিত । সংসদ সদস্য ও ট্রেড ইউনিয়ন নেতা হিসাবে তাঁর অবদানের জন্য তাঁকে সবাই মনে রাখবে । তার পরিবার, বন্ধু এবং সহকর্মীদের প্রতি সমবেদনা জানাই ।"
