এশিয়ান গেমস পদক তালিকায় গতবারের মতো এবারও ভারত শেষ করল চতুর্থ স্থানে। তবে 70 থেকে বেড়ে হ্যাংঝাউ এশিয়ান গেমসে ভারতের পদক সংখ্যা হল 107। এর মধ্যে সোনাই এসেছে 28টি। রুপো এসেছে 38টি এবং ব্রোঞ্জ এসেছে 41টি। 19তম এশিয়ান গেমসের আজ জমকালো এক সমাপ্তি অনুষ্ঠানের মধ্যে দিয়ে শেষ হবে ৷ এই অনুষ্ঠান হ্যাংঝাউ অলিম্পিক স্পোর্টস সেন্টার স্টেডিয়ামেই অনুষ্ঠিত হবে। ভারতীয় সময় বিকেল সাড়ে পাঁচটায় এই অনুষ্ঠান শুরু হবে ৷

এদিন সকালে মোদি এক্সে (টুইট) করে লিখলেন, "এশিয়ান গেমসে ভারতের ঐতিহাসিক সাফল্য! সমগ্র ভারতবাসী আনন্দিত যে আমাদের অবিশ্বাস্য ক্রীড়াবিদরা সর্বকালের সর্বোচ্চ 107টি পদক ঘরে এনেছে, যা গত 60 বছরের মধ্যে সর্বকালের সেরা পারফরম্যান্স। তিনি আরও লেখেন, "আমাদের খেলোয়াড়দের অটুট দৃঢ়তা, নিরলস মনোভাব এবং কঠোর পরিশ্রম ভারতকে গর্বিত করেছে। তাদের জয় আমাদের স্মরণীয় সব মুহূর্ত উপহার দিয়েছে, আমাদের সকলকে অনুপ্রাণিত করেছে এবং উৎকর্ষতার প্রতি আমাদের অঙ্গীকার নিশ্চিত করেছে।"

এবারের এশিয়াডে তিরন্দাজি, শুটিংয়ের মতো ইভেন্টে আগাগোড়া ভালো পারফর্ম করেছে টিম ইন্ডিয়া। এবারেও এই দুই ইভেন্টে দুর্দান্ত পারফর্ম করেছেন ভারতীয় তারকারা। স্রেফ শুটিংয়েই ভারত সোনা পেয়েছে 8টি। তিরন্দাজিতে সোনা এসেছে 6টি। চমকপ্রদভাবে এ বছর অ্যাথলেটিক্সে ভারত সোনা পেয়েছে 6টি। রিলে রেস, স্টেপলচেজের মতো ইভেন্টে ঐতিহাসিক সোনা জিতেছে ভারত। এমনকী ট্র্যাক অ্যান্ড ফিল্ডেও এসেছে সোনা। এছাড়াও এশিয়াডে এই প্রথম ব্যাটমিন্ডনে ডাবলসে দেশকে সোনা এনে দিয়েছে সাত্বিক-চিরাগ জুটি ৷
