ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ: ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਆਗੂ ਜੈਵੀਰ ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੇ ਕੌਮੀ ਬੁਲਾਰੇ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫ਼ਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਜਿਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜੈਵੀਰ ਵਲੋਂ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੋਨੀਆ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਸਤੀਫ਼ਾ ਭੇਜਿਆ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ।
ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿੱਲ ਨੇ ਸੋਨੀਆ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੂੰ ਭੇਜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਸਤੀਫ਼ੇ ਦੇ ਪੱਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮੈਨੂੰ ਇਹ ਦੱਸਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਅਫ਼ਸੋਸ ਹੋ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਲੈਣਾ ਹੁਣ ਜਨਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਲਈ ਨਹੀਂ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ, ਸਗੋਂ ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਸੁਆਰਥੀ ਹਿੱਤਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵਿਤ ਹੈ, ਜੋ ਗ਼ੁੱਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਲਝੇ ਹੋਏ ਹਨ ਅਤੇ ਲਗਾਤਾਰ ਜ਼ਮੀਨੀ ਹਕੀਕਤ ਨੂੰ ਨਜ਼ਰਅੰਦਾਜ਼ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਹਨ।

ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿੱਲ, ਸੁਪਰੀਮ ਕੋਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਪ੍ਰੈਕਟਿਸ ਕਰ ਰਹੇ ਇੱਕ ਵਕੀਲ, ਉਦੋਂ ਸੁਰਖੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਆਏ ਜਦੋਂ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਰਕਰਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਸਹਾਇਤਾ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕਰਨ ਲਈ ਇੱਕ 24×7 ਕਾਨੂੰਨੀ ਟੋਲ-ਫ੍ਰੀ ਹੈਲਪਲਾਈਨ ਨੰਬਰ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਜੈਵੀਰ ਸ਼ੇਰਗਿੱਲ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਆਨੰਦ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਐਤਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਦੀ ਸਟੀਅਰਿੰਗ ਕਮੇਟੀ ਦੇ ਚੇਅਰਮੈਨ ਦੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਦੱਸਿਆ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਉਹ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਣਗਹਿਲੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਨਰਾਜ਼ ਚੱਲ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ।
