94 ਸਾਲਾ ਚਿੱਤਰਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਮਾਹਰ ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਦਾ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ, ਪੀਐਮ ਸਮੇਤ ਕਈ ਨੇਤਾਵਾਂ ਨੇ ਕੀਤਾ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ

ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 25 ਸਤੰਬਰ 1925 ਨੂੰ ਅਣਵੰਡੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਜੇਹਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਸਨ।

ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ: ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਮਸ਼ਹੂਰ ਚਿੱਤਰਕਾਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੇਖਕ ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਦਾ 94 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਕਈ ਕਲਾਵਾਂ ਦੇ ਧਾਰਨੀ ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਲਈ ਜਾਣੇ ਜਾਂਦੇ ਸਨ। ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਭਾਰਤ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਇੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਦੇ ਭਰਾ ਸਨ।

ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਦਾ ਜਨਮ 25 ਸਤੰਬਰ 1925 ਨੂੰ ਅਣਵੰਡੇ ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਜੇਹਲਮ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ। ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਨੇ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਦੇ ਮੇਯੋ ਸਕੂਲ ਆਫ਼ ਆਰਟ ਵਿੱਚ 5 ਸਾਲਾਂ ਤੱਕ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਵਿਸ਼ਿਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਾਲੀਮ ਹਾਸਲ ਕੀਤਾ।

ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਸੁਣਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਥੋੜੀ ਜਿਹੀ ਦਿੱਕਤ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਕਰਕੇ ਕਈ ਸਕੂਲਾਂ ਨੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਦਾਖ਼ਲਾ ਦੇਣ ਤੋਂ ਇਨਕਾਰ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਇੱਕ ਦਿਨ ਦਰੱਖਤ ਤੇ ਸੁੱਤੇ ਪਏ ਪੰਛੀਆਂ ਦੀ ਤਸਵੀਰ ਬਣਾਈ। ਇਹ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦਾ ਪੇਂਟਿੰਗ ਵੱਲ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਰੁਝਾਨ ਸੀ। ਸਾਲ 1939 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਲਾਹੌਰ ਦੇ ਆਰਟ ਸਕੂਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖ਼ਲਾ ਲਿਆ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 1944 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਹ ਮੁਬੰਈ ਚਲੇ ਗਏ ਅਤੇ ਬਿਮਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਕਾਰਨ 1947 ਵਿੱਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਵਿਚਾਲੇ ਛੱਡਣੀ ਪਈ।

ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰ ਦਈਏ ਕਿ ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਨੂੰ ਕਲਾ ਦੇ ਖੇਤਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਅਣਮੁੱਲੇ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਦੇ ਲਈ ਕਈ ਸਨਮਾਨਾਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਇਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ 1999 ਵਿੱਚ ਪਦਨ ਵਿਭੂਸ਼ਣ ਨਾਲ ਸਨਮਾਨਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ।

ਇਹ ਵੀ ਜ਼ਿਕਰ ਕਰ ਦਈਏ ਕਿ ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ ਦੇ ਬੈਲਜੀਅਮ ਦੂਤਘਰ ਅੱਗੇ ਲੱਗੇ ਸਤੀਸ਼ ਗੁਜਰਾਲ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਬਣਾਏ ਗਏ ਡਿਜ਼ਾਇਨ ਨੂੰ ਆਰਕੀਟੈਕ ਦੇ ਕੌਮਾਂਤਰੀ ਫੋਰਮ ਨੇ 20ਵੀਂ ਸਦੀ ਦੀਆਂ ਉੱਤਮ ਇਮਾਰਤਾਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਐਲਾਨਿਆ ਸੀ।
