ಟಿ20 ಕ್ರಿಕೆಟ್​ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಶತಕಗಳಿಸಿದ್ದು ವೃತ್ತಿ ಜೀವನದ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸಾಧನೆ: ರೈನಾ

ಮೇ 2, 2010ರಲ್ಲಿ ಸುರೇಶ್​ ರೈನಾ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾ ವಿರುದ್ಧದ ಟಿ20 ವಿಶ್ವಕಪ್​ ಟೂರ್ನಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶತಕ ಸಿಡಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ಭಾರತದ ಚುಟುಕು ಕದನದ ಇತಿಹಾಸದಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಖಲಾಗಿದ್ದ ಚೊಚ್ಚಲ ಶತಕಕ್ಕೀಗ 10 ವರ್ಷ ತುಂಬಿದೆ.

ದೇಶದ ಪರ ಮೊದಲ ಶತಕ ಸಿಡಿಸಿದ್ದು ನನ್ನ ಆತ್ಮವಿಶ್ವಾಸವನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಅದೊಂದು ಸ್ಮರಣೀಯ ಕ್ಷಣ. ಈ ಶತಕ ನನಗೆ ಮೈದಾನದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋರಾಡಲು ಶಕ್ತಿ ನೀಡಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಬರೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಆ ಪಂದ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ರೈನಾ ಶತಕದ ನೆರವಿನಿಂದ ಭಾರತ ತಂಡ 186 ರನ್ ​ಗಳಿಸಿತ್ತು. ಇದಕ್ಕುತ್ತರವಾಗಿ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಆಫ್ರಿಕಾ ತಂಡ 172 ರನ್​ಗಳಿಸಲಷ್ಟೇ ಶಕ್ತವಾಗಿ 14 ರನ್​ಗಳ ಸೋಲನುಭವಿಸಿತ್ತು.

ಕೊರೊನಾ ನಿಧಿಗೆ ರೈನಾ ದೇಣಿಗೆ:
