ಇದೇ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮೂಲದ ಇಬ್ಬರು ಸ್ಕಾಟ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ಸಂಸತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದು, ಹೆಮ್ಮೆ-ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಪಾಮ್​ ಗೋಸಲ್​, ಇವರು ಸ್ಕಾಟ್ಲೆಂಡ್​​ನ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಮೂಲದ ಮೊದಲ 'ಮಹಿಳಾ ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಖ್'​ ಸಂಸದೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅಲ್ಲದೇ ಸ್ಕಾಟ್ಲೆಂಡ್ ಸಂಸತ್ತಿಗೆ ಆಯ್ಕೆಯಾದ ಇಬ್ಬರೇ ಮಹಿಳಾ ಸಂಸದರು - ಪಾಕಿಸ್ತಾನ ಮೂಲದ ಕೌಕಾಬ್ ಸ್ಟೀವರ್ಟ್ ಹಾಗೂ ಪಾಮ್​ ಗೋಸಲ್ ಆಗಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
