ಏರ್​ ಮಾರ್ಷಲ್​ ಎಎಸ್​ ಬುಟೊಲ ಅವರು ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೋಯಿಂಗ್​ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಪ್ಲಾಂಟ್​ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಅಪಾಚೆ ಗಾರ್ಡಿಯನ್​ ಎಹೆಚ್​-64ಇ (I) ಯುದ್ಧವಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.

ನವದೆಹಲಿ: ಅತ್ಯಾಧುನಿಕವಾದ ಅಪಾಚೆ ಗಾರ್ಡಿಯನ್​ ಯುದ್ಧ ವಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಅಮೆರಿಕದ ಬೋಯಿಂಗ್​ ಪ್ಲಾಂಟ್​ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆಗೆ ಅಧಿಕೃತವಾಗಿ ಹಸ್ತಾಂತರಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ.

ಏರ್​ ಮಾರ್ಷಲ್​ ಎಎಸ್​ ಬುಟೊಲ ಅವರು ಭಾರತೀಯ ವಾಯುಪಡೆ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಯಾಗಿ ಬೋಯಿಂಗ್​ ಉತ್ಪಾದನಾ ಪ್ಲಾಂಟ್​ನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊದಲ ಅಪಾಚೆ ವಿಮಾನವನ್ನು ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದರು.

ಅಪಾಚೆ ಗಾರ್ಡಿಯನ್​ ಎಹೆಚ್​-64ಇ (I) ಯುದ್ಧವಿಮಾನವು ಎಲ್ಲ ವಾತಾವರಣಕ್ಕೂ ಹೊಂದಿಕೊಂಡು ಭೂಮಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಆಕಾಶದಿಂದ ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲ ಸಾಮರ್ಥ್ಯ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ. ಮರ, ಬೆಟ್ಟದಿಂದಾವೃತ್ತವಾದ ಕಡಿಮೆ ಎತ್ತರದಲ್ಲಿನ ರಹಸ್ಯಗಳನ್ನೂ ಇದು ಬೇಧಿಸಲಿದೆ. ನಿರ್ಧಿಷ್ಟ ದಾಳಿ (ಸರ್ಜಿಕಲ್‌ ಸ್ಟ್ರೈಕ್‌) ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲ ಇವು ಭೂಮಿ ಮೇಲೆ ನಿಂತು, ಆಗಸದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಾರಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ದಾಳಿ ಮಾಡಬಲ್ಲವು. ಯುದ್ಧಭೂಮಿಯ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸೆರೆ ಹಿಡಿದು, ರವಾನೆ ಮಾಡು ತಾಂತ್ರಿಕತೆ ಹೊಂದಿದೆ.

2015ರ ಸೆಪ್ಟೆಂಬರ್​ನಲ್ಲಿ ಭಾರತವು ಅಪಾಚೆ 22 ಹೆಲಿಕ್ಯಾಪ್ಟರ್​ಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ಸರ್ಕಾರದೊಂದಿಗೆ ಒಪ್ಪಂದ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡಿತ್ತು. ಜುಲೈಗೆ ಇದರ ಮೊದಲ ಬ್ಯಾಚ್​ ಹೆಲಿಕ್ಯಾಪ್ಟರ್​ಗಳು ಭಾರತಕ್ಕೆ ರವಾನೆಯಾಗಲಿವೆ. ಅಲಬಮದ ಫೋರ್ಟ್​ ರಕ್ಕರ್​ನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೆರಿಕ ಸೇನೆಯಿಂದ ಭಾರತೀಯ ಸೈನಿಕರು ಈ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ತರಬೇತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
