कोलकाता : ईस्ट बंगाल ने पहले सेमीफाइनल में नॉर्थईस्ट यूनाइटेड एफसी (एनईयूएफसी) को पेनल्टी शूटआउट में 5-3 से हराकर 132वें डूरंड कप फाइनल में प्रवेश किया. मैच 90 मिनट के निर्धारित समय के बाद 2-2 से बराबरी पर था. इसके बाद मिले पेनल्टी शूट आउट के मौके को शानदार तरीके से ईस्ट बंगाल ने भुनाया और पहले सेमीफाइनल जीत हासिल करके फाइनल का टिकट पा लिया.

पार्थिब गोगोई अपने पेनल्टी से चूक गए, क्योंकि रेड और गोल्ड्स ने सभी पांच स्कोर बनाकर एक और डूरंड कप फाइनल में जगह बनाई.
16 बार के चैंपियन ईस्ट बंगाल का फाइनल में मुकाबला मोहन बागान सुपर जाइंट और एफसी गोवा के बीच होने वाले मैच के विजेता से होगा. गुरुवार को मोहन बागान सुपर जाइंट और एफसी गोवा के बीच दूसरे सेमीफाइनल के विजेता का इंतजार है. इसके बाद 132वें डूरंड कप का फाइनल 3 सितंबर को खेला जाएगा. अब देखना यह कि फाइनल में ईस्ट बंगाल का मुकाबला किससे होता है.
