नई दिल्ली : विश्व कप 2023 के फाइनल में हार के बाद भारतीय तेज गेंदबाज मोहम्मद शमी आजकल अपने होमटाउन अमरोहा में हैं. इस दौरान उन्होंने अमरोहा में ही एक इंटरव्यू में फाइनल हारने के बाद ड्रेसिंग रूम में नरेंद्र मोदी के आने का जिक्र किया. उन्होंने कहा कि जब प्रधानमंत्री आपको प्रोत्साहित करते हैं तो यह एक अलग क्षण होता है. जब आपका आत्मविश्वास गिरा हो और आपके प्रधानमंत्री आपके साथ हों तो आत्मविश्वास बढ़ता है.

शमी विश्व कप में भारत के बड़े स्टार बनकर उभरे. भारत ने विश्व कप के ग्रुप स्टेज और सेमीफाइनल मैच में जीत हासिल की थी. जिसमें मोहम्मद शमी ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए 24 विकेट हासिल किए थे. उनके विकेट 7 मैचों में 10.70 के औसत और 12.20 के स्ट्राइक रेट से आए, जिसमें उनका सर्वश्रेष्ठ गेंदबाज़ी आंकड़ा 57 रन देकर 7 विकेट था. उन्होंने टूर्नामेंट में तीन बार पांच विकेट हॉल लिया और गेंदबाजी के कई रिकॉर्ड तोड़े. वह टूर्नामेंट में सबसे ज्यादा विकेट लेने वाले गेंदबाज बने.
