इस हमले में 44 CRPF जवान शहीद हो गए हैं. 45 से ज्यादा जवान घायल हुए हैं. हिंदी सिनेमा से जुड़े सितारों ने इस हमले की कड़ी निंदा करते हुए इसे एक कायराना हरकत बताया है. अक्षय कुमार, सलमान खान, अजय देवगन, अभिषेक बच्चन, अशोक पंडित, अनुपम खेर, मधुर भंडारकर, वरुण धवन, विशाल डडलानी जैसे सितारों ने इस घटना की जमकर निंदा की.
फिल्ममेकर अशोक पंडित ने कहा- "जैश-ए-मोहम्मद द्वारा किए गए आतंकी हमले में हमारे 13 जवानों शहीद हो गए. ये सब देखना बेहद दुखद है. जिस देश में तथा-कथित लिबरल अफजल गुरु को माफी देने की मांग करते हैं, वहां ऐसी घटनाएं होती रहेंगी. मैं सरकार से गुजारिश करना चाहता हूं कि उन दुश्मनों को तत्काल जवाब दें, जो हमारे जवानों को नुकसान पहुंचा रहे हैं." पंडित ने एक वीडियो के जरिए अपना दुख जाहिर किया है.
