वहीदा रहमान को लाइफ टाइम अचीवमेंट अवॉर्ड
वेटरन एक्ट्रेस वहीदा रहमान को इंडियन सिनेमा में उनके योगदान के लिए दादा साहब फाल्के लाइफ टाइम अचीवमेंट पुरुस्कार दिया गया. वहीदा रहमान सिनेमा जगत का ये प्रेस्टिजियस अवॉर्ड पाने वाली आठवीं फीमेल कलाकार हैं. 1955 से शुरु हुआ वहीदा रहमान का फिल्मी सफर बेहतरीन रहा जिसमें उन्होंने प्यासा, कागज के फूल, गाइड, चौदहवीं का चांद, साहेब बीवी और गुलाब, खामोशी, कभी-कभी, लम्हे, जैसी हिट फिल्में इंडियन सिनेमा जगत को दी. उन्होंने हिंदी के साथ ही तेलुगू, तमिल और बंगाली भाषा में भी अपने अभिनय की छाप छोड़ी है.

राष्ट्रपति द्रौपदी मुर्मू ने की वुमन एम्पॉवरमेंट की बात
राष्ट्रपति ने नेशनल अवॉर्ड विनर्स को बधाई दी, और साथ ही वहीदा रहमान को दादा साहब फाल्के पुरुस्कार मिलने पर खुशी जताते हुए कहा- 'मुझे आज वहीदा रहमान को दादा साहब फाल्के अवॉर्ड देते हुए बहुत खुशी हुई, उन्होंने अपने टैलेंट से फिल्म जगत के शिखर पर अपना नाम स्थापित किया. अपने निजी जीवन में भी उन्होंने मौलिकता और आत्मविश्वास बनाए रखा. जहां तक मुझे पता चला उन्होंने फिल्मों में काम करने के लिए दूसरा नाम रखने पर इनकार कर दिया था. उन्होंने कई ऐसे किरदार किए जो महिलाओं से जुड़े बंधनों को तोड़ती है. वहीदा जी ने वुमन एम्पॉवरमेंट के लिए एक मिसाल पेश की है. आज बेस्ट एक्ट्रेस का अवॉर्ड प्राप्त करने वाली आलिया भट्ट्-कृति सेनन और सपोर्टिंग रोल के लिए अवॉर्ड जीतने वाली पल्लवी जोशी ने भी सशक्त महिलाओं का किरदार निभाया है. फिल्मों में निभाए गए ऐसे किरदारों के जरिए समाज में महिला के लिए संवेदना और सम्मान में वृद्धि होती है'.
