बालासोर: कांग्रेस सांसद अधीर रंजन चौधरी ओडिशा के बालासोर स्थित घटनास्थल पर गए जहां शुक्रवार रात भीषण ट्रेन हादसे हुए थे. इस दौरान उन्होंने बचाव अभियान में राहत टीमों द्वारा किए जा रहे प्रयासों की सराहना की. कांग्रेस अध्यक्ष मल्लिकार्जुन खड़गे ने स्थिति का जायजा लेने के लिए अधीर रंजन चौधरी और एआईसीसी प्रभारी ए चेल्ला कुमार को नियुक्त किया है.

इस मौके पर अधीर रंजन ने कहा, 'घटना घटने के बाद तैयारियां जितनी होनी चाहिए वो किया गया. ऐसा मैं नहीं कह रहा हूं कि कोशिश नहीं की गई. सबसे पहले मैं एनडीआरएफ और उसके साथ-साथ सेना खासकर वायू सेना और लोकल पुलिस की सराहना करता हूं. इन सबकी मदद के बिना राहत बचाव अभियान चलाना मुमकीन नहीं था. इन सभी ने योगदान दिया.'
उन्होंने कहा,'घायलों को घटना स्थल से निकालकर अस्पताल पहुंचाने में इन्होंने महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई. रेलवे के कर्मचारी और मजदूर हादसे के बाद आवागम को सुचारू करने के लिए प्रयासरत हैं, उनकी भी भूमिका अहम है. ये सब आप और हम सभी देख रहे हैं. लेकिन बड़ी बात ये है कि ये सब घटना घटने के बाद हो रहे हैं. यह तत्परता घटना घटने के पहले होती तो शायद हादसे को टाला जा सकता था. बड़ी- बड़ी बात कहना आसान होता है लेकिन उस कथनी को अमल में लाना मुश्किल होता है. कथनी और करनी में फर्क नहीं होना चाहिए. ऐसा हमारा मानना है. एक बड़ी बात कहना चाहता हूं कि यह आत्ममंथन करने की जरूरत है कि इस हादसे को टाला जा सकता था या नहीं. रेलवे के ऐसे हादसों को टाला जा सकता है या नहीं.'
