हैदराबाद: भारतीय टीम अपनी धरती इंग्लैंड के साथ 25 जनवरी से लेकर 11 मार्च कर 5 मैचों की टेस्ट सीरीज खेलने वाली है. इस सीरीज का पहला टेस्ट मैच में 25 से 29 जनवरी तक हैदराबाद के राजीव गांधी क्रिकेट स्टेडियम में खेला जाने वाला है. इससे पहले रोहित शर्मा ने हैदराबाद में आज प्री मैच प्रेस को संबोधित किया. इस दौरान रोहित ने कहा कि हमने जो रणनीति बनाई हैं हम उस पर अमल करेंगे.

इंडिया को अंतिम बार अपने घर में साल 2012 में एलेस्टेयर कुक की कप्तानी वाली इंग्लैंड टीम से टेस्ट सीरीज में हार मिली थी. इस सीरीज को भारतीय टीम 2-1 हारी थी. तब से लेकर अब तक भारतीय टीम ने लगातार 16 सीरीज में जीत दर्ज की है जबिक उसने 7 सीरीज में क्लीन स्वीप किया है.
रोहित ने प्री मैच प्रेस कांफ्रेंस में कहा कि, ‘हम पिछले रिकॉर्ड्स पर ध्यान देना नहीं चाहते हैं, इस बात की तो कई गारंटी नहीं है कि हम ये सीरीज जीत जाएंगे लेकिन हम अपने बेस्ट देंगे और बेहतरीन क्रिकेट खेलने की कोशिश करेंगे.
रोहित शर्मा ने कहा, 'टेस्ट क्रिकेट एक ऐसा प्रारूप है जो आपको काफी चुनौती देता है. इसलिए हमारा काम कि हम टेस्ट के बारे में गंभीरता से सोचें और आने वाली पीढ़ियों के बारे में अधिक बात करें'.
रोहित ने ये भी कहा कि केपटाउन में दक्षिण अफ्रीका के खिलाफ दूसरे टेस्ट में मिली जीत से टीम का आत्मविश्वास बढा है. उन्होंने कहा ,‘केपटाउन में मिली जीत अच्छी थी लेकिन ये मैच हैदराबाद में है. हालात अलग हैं और विरोधी टीम भी अलग है लेकिन उस जीत से आत्मविश्वास काफी बढा है जो इस सीरीज में काम आएगा’.
भारतीय कप्तान ने शोएब बशीर के टेस्ट सीरीज में शामिल ना होने पर कहा कि,'मैं शोएब बशीर के लिए महसूस कर सकता हूं. दुर्भाग्य से मैं आपको इस बारे में ज्यादा जानकारी देने के लिए वीज़ा कार्यालय में नहीं बैठा हूं, लेकिन मुझे उम्मीद है कि उसे अपना वीज़ा जल्दी मिल जाएगा और वह हमारे देश में खेल का आनंद उठाएगा'.

रोहित शर्मा ने विराट कोहली के रिप्लेसमेंट के बारे में बात करते हुए कहा कि,'हम पहले दो टेस्ट मैचों में विराट कोहली की कमी को पूरा करने के लिए एक अनुभवी खिलाड़ी को मौका देना चाहते थे. लेकिन फिर हमने सोचा कि पास वापस किसी अनुभवी खिलाड़ी के पास जाने से अच्छा है आप युवाओं को मौका देते हैं, आप नहीं चाहते कि युवा खिलाड़ी सीधे विदेशों में खेले और उजागर हो जाएं'.
