After the murder, the body of the youth was dumped in a field, one kilometer away from the village, police sources said. On notice, the local police has rushed to the spot to investigate the youth's killing. Police is sending the body for a post-mortem to ascertain the cause of the death. It was not immediately known whether police have detained any suspects in the case.
The youth's killing comes six days after Maoists killed 10 DRG personnel and a civilian after blowing up the forces vehicle on Aranpur road in Dantewada. Investigators said that the Naxalites had planted the IED 2 months ago by making a tunnel across the Dantewada Aranpur road using 'foxhole mechanism'. The mechanism allows Naxalites to evade police searches.
Following the attack, two Maoists have been arrested while an FIR has been registered against 14 Naxalites. Jagdish is said to be the master mind of the Dantewada attack. On Monday the Naxalites torched two trucks in Ittapara area of Phulpagdi police station area of Sukma district. Both the trucks were completely burnt to ashes.
