Kajol at green drive

Mumbai: Tanisha Mukerji braved rains to initiate her tree plantation drive. To support Tanisha in the cause, her sister Kajol with nephew Yug, mother Tanuja and Jackie Shroff marked their presence at the event.

At the event, Yug became the cynosure of all eyes with his cute antics. While planting the tree, an excited Yug asked his mom if he is allowed to scream to which Kajol and Tanish replied with a laud "Yes".

Jackie too was seen dipping his hands in mud while planting saplings with Tanishaa and Tanuja.

Jackie said, "Planting trees is not just a way to give back to the environment, It's also our responsibility and we are not doing a favour on anyone by planting trees. I showed up my presence for this drive because I am more concerned about the coming up generations and the kind of air we give them to breathe."

In the past few years, the deteriorating climatic and health conditions have increased for an alarming need to increase the green cover which in return will improve the air quality.

Emphasizing on the need to plant and save trees to control pollution and protect nature, Kajol said "I read a line somewhere that a single human accounts to seven trees on earth and by taking part in this initiative, we are going to repay that debt. We owe the earth something and I am very proud of my sister that she has started something like this."
